Eye-level whale watching (or summer time dolphin watching) onboard our low-to-water small group zodiac rafts.

Our small group tours make for a fun, family style whale watch experience. Although whales are protected in Hawaii, they often approach our small boats for closer and eye level whale encounters.
Search for dolphins and sightsee on this tour in the off season (summer months).
A low-to-water zodiac boat puts you close to the ocean’s surface for eye-level wildlife encounters, offering unobstructed views, maneuverability for accessing remote spots, and a thrilling, eco-friendly adventure you can’t get on larger vessels.
We are located in Lahaina, Maui, just a short drive from Kaanapali, Kahana, Napili, Kapalua and other West Maui accommodations. And a fun destination for visitors staying in Kihei or Wailea.

Join Maui's only Hawaiian Owned eye-level Whale Watching and Dolphin Search Tours onboard our low-to-water small group eco-rafts. Avoid the crowds and enjoy comfortable seating in a small group with spectacular views of Hawaii’s humpback whales or Maui's friendly dolphins. December- April: The Humpback Whale returns to the warm Hawaiian waters every year during the winter months for their mating and calving season. Although whales are protected in Hawaii and we do not approach them closer than federal regulations, they often approach our small rafts for those up close and eye-level whale encounters. May-November: Dolphins are spotted year-round and our eco-rafts also provide eye-level encounters. November we will also begin our search for early season whales. Your tour includes a full narration of interesting whale / dolphin and Maui facts by our marine naturalist, listening to whale songs on a hydrophone, water onboard and lots of photo ops! *Our small locally native owned eco-company is excited to share Maui's wildlife with you!* Departures from Lahaina, Maui- always arrive at least 30 minutes prior to departure time so you don't miss boarding your boat!

5.00Don’t miss this! Capt Jack and marine biologist Jess were both professional, fun, and very knowledgeable. They were equally excited as the rest of us when we found lots of spinner dolphins and 4 humpback whales. (Late Nov so not technically whale season yet!) I have been on other whale watching tours, but never one as successful and fun as this!

4.00We did the morning whale watching tour, and overall it was a cool experience, just not what we expected. More than half of the trip is spent boating towards the island of Lana’i. It was beautiful, just a lot of full speed boating. Since it’s November, it sounds like it’s pretty rare to see whales. That being said, we ended up seeing a huge pod of bottlenose dolphins, and that made the whole thing worth it. You get incredibly close, you can literally hold your phone over the edge and be inches away from them. Very cool experience. The ride itself is a fun way to get out on the water and see the island of Lana’i, and the chips, soft drink, water melon and cookie included were a nice extra for the price. I’d recommend it if you’re visiting in the off-season and want to see dolphins or just enjoy the ocean.

5.00Captain Jack and crew were extremely informative, offered wonderful hospitality, and made the entire experience unforgettable. We saw several whales and dolphins, and the embarkation was exceptionally clean and confortable. And when the captain slowed down, he allowed us to sit on the edge of the zodiac. A fantastic outing ! We are going back next week !

5.00This was a totally enjoyable experience. Captain Jack, and first mate Jess made it very comfortable, interactive, and informative. We saw turtles immediately out of dock. Then interacted with a large pod of spinner dolphins, and then went out to see some early wells that had arrived. We enjoyed the interaction with all the sea life, and especially being able to move around on the boat freely once stopped and be so close to the water. Highly recommend it!

5.00It was an amazing experience! I joined the tour in November, and I was thinking, "Maybe I won't be able to see dolphins or whales ..." but sea turtles, dolphins and whales. I could see it all! :) The captain and other staff members turn the ship around with a firm prediction of where dolphins and whales will appear. Whales, in particular, are sometimes called the beginning of the season, so they don't show up at the point they want. But from there, the captain looked for the point where the whales were likely to appear, and moved the ship, and there they were! And two of them!! "I want to show the whale to the customers somehow!" This feeling was firmly conveyed, and my wife and I were impressed by the hospitality. Also, the snacks served along the way were wonderful hospitality. We were the first to be served watermelon, so I was thinking, "OK, this is a snack," but after a while we had snacks and finally drinks. "Before I went on tour, I was hesitant to say, ""I wonder if this is a lot of money ... "" It's a lot cheaper, considering the hospitality of the staff as well as the watching experience."

5.00Had a wonderful trip. Beautiful day, gorgeous water. Saw tons of dolphins and even saw a sea turtle. Great photo opportunities. The guides were very informative and friendly. We had a great time.
