An unforgettable day which will unfold as below:
Starts with a breakfast, followed by a presentation by the Chef for the dishes to be prepared. You shall be accompanied by the Chef to the local bazaar to purchase a list of items handed to you prior, with money and a basket 'panier bazar'.
Back to Le Domaine des Aubineaux for the preparation of the dishes.
Lunch is then served.
Note:
After lunch, visit of the Colonial House 1872. Day ends with tasting of the Saint Aubin Rum

An authentic experience where you can discover and you shall experience the traditional Mauritian cuisine. The Chef of the domain awaits you for a presentation and for the explanation of the steps of preparation. Fines herbs freshly picked from the nursery, the traditional spices, colourful and tasty ingredients will be at your disposal to prepare your lunch. Be your own chef - concoct your dish and set your table for a moment of pure bliss in Les Ecuries du Domaine des Aubineaux, surrounded by Le Parc Floral du Domaine des Aubineaux. After lunch, the experience continues with the visit of The colonial house which dates back to 1872 and features most of the original furnishing and paintings of the time. A rum tasting is also included.

5.00I had the most calm, relaxing, beautiful day in the middle of a breathtaking garden in this charming colonial family house with a long history. Akhilesh, the chef of the estate, brought me to shop for ingredients in the local market, and we made a lovely curry together. All the crew was kind and very helpful, and walking in the bird-singing, flower-perfumed garden cleaned all the stress out of me. Thank you for the beautiful experience!

4.00A house with incredible charm, a quality Mauritian welcome. It almost feels like home. Simple but clear visit that allows to situate the estate in time through the 9 generations of the family. Very generous tasting.

4.00Beautiful colonial house that has remained “in its juice” but it retains the old-fashioned charm of the houses of yesteryear. The welcome is very warm, the person in charge of visits takes us back to the last century, thanks to his explanations and the many family photos. Many thanks to JOANA, a local chef whom we accompanied to the Point of Sale to make a delicious Chicken Shrimp Curry with her during a cooking class. An excellent moment of sharing that I highly recommend. And for the day to be complete, we must not forget the tasting of local rum 😊 Thank you to the whole team.

5.00An excellent experience during our trip to Mauritius! Starting with a delicious breakfast, we were then taken to the market the collect our ingredients. We had an amazing cooking class with an incredible chef on the veranda overlooking the grounds which we then had for lunch with a few extras from the kitchen! Finished with a tour of the house and a taste of local rum. A really great day, staff were really friendly and attentive, highly recommend!

5.00A very pretty colonial house built in 1872, remaining with its original furniture. A little outdated style of course, but very picturesque. Very interesting !
