Trou aux Cerfs
Begin your 7-8 hours southwest scenic tour with a hotel pick-up anywhere in Mauritius. You will meet & be greeted by our certified guide and after boarding in your comfortable vehicle, then set off for your first stop. You'll be heading to Trou Aux Cerfs which is one of the famous natural tourist attractions in Mauritius. The dormant volcanic crater is around 605 meters above sea level, with a diameter of 350 meters & a depth of around 100 meters. Unlike the typical volcanic features, Trou aux Cerfs’ crater is surrounded by a vast area of lush forest consisting of indigenous plant species and some giant green pine trees. It is believed that the Trou aux Cerfs erupted once and has remained dormant for the last 700 000 years; experts believe that there is a potential chance for it to become active again. Definitely, one of the main highlights is the 360-degree view of the town, Curepipe & the majestic view of Rempart Mountain, Trois Mamelles, and the Port-Louis- Moka mountain range

5.00A highly recommended day tour! The driver was able to tell a lot about the sights and his home without flooding us with information. We never felt rushed and all our wishes were met. The tour went even longer than expected and the driver was very friendly and accommodating. Anytime again!

2.00Disappointing experience for both the guide and the time. Wassim is more Taxi than guide, lack of experience: big rain and not even an umbrella in the car. We are disappointed with the day.

5.00Nawaz gave us an exceptional day. We were here from a cruise so had limited time. We asked him to change his standard itinerary so that we could take in a beach as well. He could not have been more accommodating and throughout the trip he provided us with a wealth of knowledge about the island and the places we visited.

5.00Our driver Anoop was very knowledgeable on his beautiful island. Any questions we had he answered and he also engaged in conversations discussing other topics like football! Each location we visited was wonderful in its own way. We were impressed with how well organised the whole trip was, stopping at each point long enough to get the photo, enjoy the location for a few minutes then go!!
