Trou aux Cerfs
Begin your 7-8 hours southwest scenic tour with a hotel pick-up anywhere in Mauritius. You will meet & be greeted by our certified guide and after boarding in your comfortable vehicle, then set off for your first stop. You'll be heading to Trou Aux Cerfs which is one of the famous natural tourist attractions in Mauritius. The dormant volcanic crater is around 605 meters above sea level, with a diameter of 350 meters & a depth of around 100 meters. Unlike the typical volcanic features, Trou aux Cerfs’ crater is surrounded by a vast area of lush forest consisting of indigenous plant species and some giant green pine trees. It is believed that the Trou aux Cerfs erupted once and has remained dormant for the last 700 000 years; experts believe that there is a potential chance for it to become active again. Definitely, one of the main highlights is the 360-degree view of the town, Curepipe & the majestic view of Rempart Mountain, Trois Mamelles, and the Port-Louis- Moka mountain range

5.00We were collected by Ven, who was a knowledgeable, polite and courteous driver. He took us to the scheduled stops on the trip, and knew the best viewpoints and arrival times. Highly recommend the trip, but especially Ven, who was great company too.

4.00Mauritius does not have anything noteworthy to see. We had a pleasant day with a lovely guide, but if we had done nothing& stayed on board our ship, we wouldn't have missed much. The required visit to a shop was a waste of time - overpriced & nothing we wanted. The volcano was overgrown, so 'nothing to see here'. The Hindi temple & statues were interesting. The Alexandra Falls were a waste of time, but the coastal view made up for that. The Canyon was interesting, but the coastal drive was the most pleasant park to the trip. Lunch was also Indian, so we only got to see one side of the cultural mix. Missed out on the bost museum (supposedly it wasn't open), though our friends visited & brought back photos.

5.00The trip was great for the price. We are very thankful to our guide for the safe ride, patience and chill atmosphere. Only interesting facts, no forced small talk (and don’t get me wrong - the guide is suuuper nice!), we really had the space to enjoy the sights. Recommended!

5.00Driver arrived on time and communication was good . Car was very nice and fully air conditioned . We were taken to all the main sightseeing stops which were great. We were taken to a very nice restaurant for lunch which was reasonably priced and food good Spent about an hour at 7 coloured earth Never felt rushed by the driver Would thoroughly recommend

4.00Unfortunately it rained 75% of the time on the excursion and although we understand the driver cant control the weather we missed key stops on our tour (didnt even have an umbrella ) so we agreed we with the driver we would get to see the next day, and then go on to see the other side north side of island. (of course paying for the tour of the other side of island) Unfortunately when we called in the morning to confirm everyone from company including our driver from previous day were busy and no one contacted us first to confirm what we had agreed the day before. so we were very disappointed that they did not keep their agreement . I think these tours must be canceled when the forecast is rain all day, because it is not fair to pay for a tour where we cant see the majority of the stops on tour. Although we thought we had a nice rapport with the driver it turned out to be very disappointing

5.00This was an excellent tour of the southern part of the island and exactly as described in the itinerary. We particularly enjoyed the 7-Coloured Earth venue and waterfall. Our driver, Wasiim, was very knowledgable and helped guide us throughout the day.

5.00Was ideal way to see the South part of Mauritius without having a bus tour. This allowed us to see everything we wanted and to control the time spent at each stop. The Seven Colored Earth was the highlight for us.

5.00Excellent, personalised tour. Our driver Fardeen was great - really helpful, good natured, and full of knowledge about Mauritius. It was just the three of us, and it meant we could do things at our own pace, and didn't feel rushed. This was a really good way to see the south of Mauritius - would 100% recommend.
