Trou aux Cerfs
Begin your 7-8 hours southwest scenic tour with a hotel pick-up anywhere in Mauritius. You will meet & be greeted by our certified guide and after boarding in your comfortable vehicle, then set off for your first stop. You'll be heading to Trou Aux Cerfs which is one of the famous natural tourist attractions in Mauritius. The dormant volcanic crater is around 605 meters above sea level, with a diameter of 350 meters & a depth of around 100 meters. Unlike the typical volcanic features, Trou aux Cerfs’ crater is surrounded by a vast area of lush forest consisting of indigenous plant species and some giant green pine trees. It is believed that the Trou aux Cerfs erupted once and has remained dormant for the last 700 000 years; experts believe that there is a potential chance for it to become active again. Definitely, one of the main highlights is the 360-degree view of the town, Curepipe & the majestic view of Rempart Mountain, Trois Mamelles, and the Port-Louis- Moka mountain range

5.00I did the above tour with Nawaz, who is a very knowledgeable and friendly driver/guide. Never thought Mauritius would be this attractive. The attractions are well maintained with safety standards as in any Western country.

5.00A great tour with Nawaz. Very knowledgeable guide with a friendly charisma. It took approximately 6.5 hours but we skipped lunch and didn’t stop at the Rum factory so could have been over 8 hours. We can recommend this tour and guide.

5.00We had an amazing journey along the southwest coast of Mauritius. Our tour guide was warm, friendly, and shared plenty of interesting insights about each place we visited. From Chamarel Waterfall, the Rhumerie and the Seven-Coloured Earth to Alexandra Falls, Black River Valley, Grand Bassin, and Trou aux Cerfs — every stop was captivating. It was a beautiful trip that truly showcased the natural beauty of Mauritius

5.00Nawaz was just such an incredible guide giving us not only all the descriptions of the places we visited but also the history of the place and daily life in Mauritius. Being a private tour we were able to stop for however long we wanted at each stop. We also had our elderly Father with us who Nawaz insisted on walking next to to assist if needed and when Father didn't want to see a particular destination, Nawaz found a shad spot for the car and both of them stayed in the car whilst we walked around. He had a great range of sites to see, his car was very modern and comfortable and he is an excellent driver. 20 out of 10 from us

5.00Really enjoyed this tour. The driver was extremely kind and knowledgeable, he provided lots of valuable information about Mauritius. He was very accommodating and made sure to go at my pace. The scenery was stunning.
