Mdina, Malta's former capital is situated on a hilltop in the central part of the island and dominates over two - thirds of Malta. It is one of Europe's finest examples of an ancient fortified city, characterized by medieval and baroque architecture. Known by the locals as the " Silent City", it encloses within its walls palaces belonging to Maltese aristocratic families, the majority of which are secondary homes.
Walking through Mdina you will feel as though the city has been frozen in time; its narrow winding streets, majestic palaces, churches and courtyards make this city unique, a must-see during your stay in Malta!
Rabat, a suburb of Mdina, is also a historical town with strong religious ties. According to tradition during his 3 months stay in Malta, St Paul the Apostle lived in a grotto beneath the parish church.Your guide will lead you along some of the most typical street in Rabat highlighting the most important architectural features as you go along.

A lovely informative walking tour with a great tour guide who was passionate about all the local history. She also had a lovely sense of humour too. We are staying in Valletta so a bit of a bus journey to go but we are so glad we did it. Would highly recommended.

Nadine is excellent! She did a great job of explaining the history, architecture and provided fun facts that you would not read in a guidebook. We were lucky to be there in March which was already getting crowded with tourists. We highly recommend! Nadine was also our guide for Valletta which we would also highly recommend.

Would highly recommend Mathieu. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour very interesting and the time flew by. Malta’s history is unbelievable and so many conquerors influenced this island, which is very strategic.

The tour lasted little more than 2 hours and included a lot of interesting stops in Mdina and Rabat. Marisa was our guide and did a great job showing us around both cities, pointing out the history, explaining how the two cities developed over time, but also providing great recommendations of places to explore after the tour. I highly recommend this tour as it allows you to fully understand what you see and learn why the two cities are so unique.

A unique place which remembered us of our time in Morocco. Very well kept little streets with monumental houses, churches and musea. Also a beautiful viewpoint from the walls of the city.
