We will be walking through the narrow, winding and atmospheric streets of the Silent City while taking in the sights of the most important palaces, churches and monuments of this centuries old town.

We also get to walk through the streets of Rabat, known to be the larger city in the area and which is equally important to Mdina. We go past and inside of some of the most beautiful churches and convents of this majestic city.

Even if the weather was against us, the tour led by Chris was great and really interesting. the explanations were plenty and the personal stories made this tour a success. This tour of the two cities with historic references is a good way to understand the complicated history of Malta. If you have an afternoon, go for it, it is worth the visit.

We absolutely loved the part of the tour that focused on Mdina. The guide Chris did a great job explaining the history of the area, the nuisances of the Maltese nobility over time, and pointing out architectural features of administrative buildings and private residences. The sounds of the city (still lived in) were wonderful. Where the tour fell short for us was the Rabat section (last 1/3 of the tour). While we greatly appreciated the guide’s personal connections (lives in Rabat, we went to the church he attends), it became a bit centered around his own experience. Also, while we were very impressed with his overall knowledge, when we asked a couple of questions, he wasn’t particularly forthcoming with us. Touring Malta again, we would focus on Mdina only.

We had already booked the tour in Valetta and we liked it so much that we went on another tour with Chris the next day. It was very entertaining, entertaining and informative. Highly recommended.

Chris was an excellent guide who really brought the area and its history to life. Despite torrential rain at times, he kept the group engaged and gave us a locals insight into the city. Good value for money and would highly recommend.

Chris is phenomenal. His personal connections to the area and vast knowledge of the history make this tour a can't miss experience. The price is very reasonable, a bargain really. He is perfectly punctual, still leaving ample time for photos, snacks, and restroom stops. The route is an easy ambling pace that is perfect for most people, regardless of activity level. He keep the group small so there is an intimate atmosphere to the tour. We actually booked with him 3 times because we enjoyed the tour so much! Best way to see the beautiful island.

Wow, we really can't recommend this walking tour enough. Chris was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about this beautiful area he has lived in all of his life. As a small group tour we were so relieved not to be in some of the huge groups we saw as everything was so much more personal. He remembered our names, enquired after where we'd travelled from and related some of the Maltese history to our home countries. Absolutely fascinating and well worth the money.

Chris was as funny as he was elaborate and introduced us to the essential historical developments of the fortified city of Mdina, Rabat and Malta in an entertaining way that will stay with us for a long time. Highly recommended.
