  Excellent tour! The guides were very knowledgeable and spoke fluent English and Spanish. The pace of the tour gave us time to interact with the Indigenous people. It was an enlightening cultural experience. I would highly recommend this tour to others!

  This tour was a unique and impactful experience; it provides an insight into life in Medellin that you will not get with any other tour. Pablo and Luz were excellent guides. They talked to us about the history of the Embera people, their struggles, and their resilience. We visited the places where they live and the community center where they gather and receive support. I recommend this tour for anyone who wants to better understand the complexities of life in Medellin for indigenous people.

  Medellín and Colombia carry layers of history, some beautiful, some painful. Exploring the underbelly of any culture is sometimes how we experience it best. If you are looking to do something a little bit different and out of the ordinary, this tour peels a little deeper, offering a glimpse into the struggles of its indigenous people through the voice of an engaging guide and the work of a foundation that’s making a real difference. I never would have learned, nor experienced, what I did on this tour without it. The neighborhood is dicey, and the story is heavy and should only be done with a guided tour. However, we felt safe the entire time. It was one of the most memorable tours. I’ve done anywhere, in my 30+ years of travel. Not to be missed.

  We had the Downtown city tour with our guide German who did a wonderful job showing around the neighborhood and had a really good way of showing and explaining the history and the social struggles of this beautiful city. But once they arrive in Medellín, they are met with a harsh reality: a city known for its good weather and friendly people, yet still struggling to fully accept and embrace cultural diversity. This experience opens your eyes to the ways in which society often ignores, marginalizes, or pushes people aside simply because they don't fit a dominant idea of identity.
