You will meet our 70 Alaskan Huskies, meet each dog and learn more about them, and get a chance to cuddle them if you like (they are very energetic so be ready for dog hugs!). We will give you a glimpse into the daily life of a sled dog kennel and explain how we work with the dogs through the cold arctic winters. Next, you will help us prepare a small team of 8-10 dogs, sit with us on a powerful ATV, and learn how we train our dogs pre-season. After, we will take the harnesses of the huskies and give them a lovely chunk of meat as a treat for their excellent work. The duration of these activities depends on the number of people but is generally between 1.5 and 3 hours. Tea, coffee & sweet snacks are also provided over an open fire. Please dress appropriately for weather, doggy hugs and forest trails. IMPORTANT: Children of all ages can join the kennel experience (meeting the dogs) however, the ATV ride is only appropriate for children age 8 or above for safety reasons. Equally so it is not appropriate for people of ill health. If you would like to book this tour for any other but the set starting times please contact us and we will be happy to accommodate you!!

5.00We loved the experience! It was such a lovely place with such a kind staff! Everyone was so friendly, nice and helpful! The huskies were all very well treated and very happy! The tour was very pleasant and amazing. I totally recommend it and It was really very hard for us to leave this place without a husky 😂. The staff were always kindly giving us new things to experience with the dogs. It was really a very good experience that I really want to do again. If I ever comeback to Kiruna, I’ll be back for sure. Loved the staff and the place. TOTALLY RECOMMEND IT!

5.00Craig and his staff were amazing. We got lots of time with the puppies and huskies in their kennel, learned a lot about the operation and went for a nice ATV ride. Afterwards we had a nice tea over a fire. They made us feel at home and went above and beyond to help get us to the train station after. I highly recommend Snowdog.
