This leisurely ride is a short-but-sweet sampler into what life in the Mekong Delta looks like. It will cover a wide range of distinct terrain types from elevated wooden platforms over rice fields to pathed trails beneath coconut trees to muddy tracks along the beach. It will also include some good old-fashioned Southern Vietnamese hospitality, with traditional foods and an authentic homestay experience on a farm.

7:30 am - Leave Saigon and van transfer to a cafe where riders have a bike fitting before setting off. The first segment of the day’s journey features lightly trafficked, mostly paved country roads, protected from the sun by attentive lines of coconut trees. After 15 km, we’ll arrive at a ferry crossing the Mekong River. While the next segment’s cycling is relaxed and non-technical, we do offer a shuttle to our finishing destination in lieu of continuing to ride. Our transport vehicle and private shuttle will be standing by to ensure that these riders have the support they need to thoroughly enjoy their day. After the ride, we’ll relax at a restaurant serving traditional Mekong Delta cuisine along with cocktails and beers. You’ll also have the opportunity to shower before a short van transfer to the night’s homestay

After breakfast, we will take a short boat trip to Coconut island. The cycle tracks today on the first 40 kms of the journey are unique gravel and concrete trails through coconut plantations and lemon grass fields. We will pass through charming Mekong Delta villages and cycle past traditional delta style homes that have been used as communal family residences for generations. We will take a ferry to the Mekong River’s estuary and cycle 10 km along the muddy beach where the locals farm clams before arriving at a seaside restaurant. Finally, riders will get a 2 hour van transfer back to Saigon.

5.00I chose to book with Mr Biker Saigon as they offered a tour more suited to me and my husband, a tour that simply delivered a cycling experience without the visits to local businesses or gift shops. It was perfect! From the outset communication with the company was first class. On the lead up to the tour I received a really detailed email with what to wear/bring for the homestay/and tour info. It was my birthday and the company went over and above to help and treat me! Our guides arrived promptly gor day 1 and picked us up from our hotel. One drove the support vehicle each day and the other cycled the route with us. They were both excellent! The bikes themselves were fabulous. Very nice and because Mr Biker Saigon had requested our height beforehand, the frames fitted us perfectly. Everything was truly top notch and professional. My husband and I are fairly fit and active and we cycled 50km on day 1. The route was predominantly flat and fairly scenic. Lunch was gorgeous and we had plenty of water stops with fresh fruit and cake! We finished day 1 at around 3pm with a private boat ride to the homestay. We stayed in Ben Tre in the most lovely place! It honestly was more than I imagined. I was invited to help cook with the ladies who own it which was so nice…..it was like an added cooking class! The meal was delicious and everyone so friendly. I even received a birthday cake and gift! It was a very special memory. The room at the homestay was very comfortable with a good bed, AC and a powerful shower. Breakfast was delicious. Day 2 was another 50km and was a very pretty route. Again, we had plenty of water stops and the day ended at a fabulous seafood restaurant right on the water. This trip was a highlight of our holiday in Vietnam. Mr Biker Saigon are a fabulous company and I highly recommend booking with them. You will be in safe hands. Their bikes and support vehicles are top quality and you even get some free gifts - bag/water bottle/tshirt. We did the compact Mekong tour and I saw varied scenery, caught local ferries with the bicycles which was fun and stopped whenever we liked to chat to locals or take photos. We had a great time!! Thankyou Mr Biker Saigon. Thankyou to Ken and Din for looking after us so well.

Khan our cyclist guide and his logistic team helped me to realise an old dream : going to the land of my father biking from Saïgon to Vĩnh Long and crossing over Mékong Delta. My first trip to Vietnam was a great expérience as M. Khan, a Nice Guy, gave us a lot of détail of vietnamese culture and Life in delta. I Thank all the team and probably come back.

5.00Going in this bike tour was a highlight of our summer. We are a family of three: myself, my husband, and our almost 7 year old son. I wasn’t sure if he would be able to complete a long bike trip, but I really wanted to try. Mr. Biker Saigon worked with us to curate a bespoke trip based our needs and our child’s age. We rode for 2 days and ended with a relaxing morning seeing the floating markets in Can Tho. Our guide, Thuan, was wonderfully helpful, conversational, kind, and professional. He made an extra effort to support our son when things got challenging on the tour. He was a great guide and definitely made the experience meaningful for us. Some of the features of the trip that I appreciated: the clean, super luxe fan we were carted around in, the wonderful roadside food and coffee we had, the beautiful flower-lined waterfront paths we traveled, seeing almost no other cyclists the entire time. It was a true peek into Vietnamese villages that would be near-impossible to find on one’s own. Thrilled with the experience. Highly recommend.

5.00What an experience! The paths take you through rice paddies, dragon fruit farms, and endless stretches of coconut trees. Both of the places we stayed were very comfortable with amazing hosts and the best food. I can’t recommend this trip/tour group highly enough. You will not regret it!

5.00We spent two amazing days with our guide An cycling across different Mekong delta areas. The experience is great across dimensions : #1- the cycling tour as such was challenging enough yet manageable by everyone and An was very attentive to ensure all of us would finish ! #2- the tour is nicely blending superb scenery, local culture and food discoveries, local home stay still feeling authentic #3- regular stop to speak with local people . Our guide An has been key to the experience . Very open, cheerful, sharing his love for his region as well as fully in charge, caring and attentive to details. Highly recommended !

5.00Mr Biker is such a brilliant experience whether you are a tourist or a long-time expat. We took our family on a day trip to cycle in the Mekong. Thai was an amazing guide - great to look after the young children, stopped to show us fun and interesting sites and really knowledgeable. I can’t recommend this enough for all levels and ages. 5.00We spent 4 days in the Mekong Delta with Thai. Superb experience, beautiful course, excellent bike and very professional organization. Thai and the driver are very friendly, helpful. They think of everything, super food, excellent food, very professional in the accompaniment. This is a way to discover Vietnam outside the tourist circuits. It is a 5-star Service for a mountain bike trip. We highly recommend!!!

5.00We did this trip in July 2022 with our daughters (7&9 years old) and really recommend it! Bikes were right size and in good condition, we cycled through amazing scenery and stayed in unique locations but especially were very pleased with our enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide Trong. Not only could he share a lot about the country but he was also very patient and flexible - for example when making a few changes to the route as it was a bit too far for our youngest. Again: great experience - get in touch with the Mr Biker team to discuss your ideas as we found they are very willing to think along and offer suggestions.
