Saqqara Pyramid
First, Pick Up from Requested Location by your Tour guide to start your Journey across the three ancient necropolises. The tour will start by visiting the Saqqara necropolis, where you will visit the Pyramid of Djoser. This pyramid is the earliest colossal stone building in the world. This structure is a fundamental part of the Egyptian history as other pyramids was based on it with improvements. The pyramids at Giza and elsewhere in the desert near Cairo are a part of the legacy of an older city and civilization that fell into decline long before Cairo was founded. This civilization named this area Memphis, which was the seat of power to the Old Kingdom (2686—2181 BC) of Ancient Egypt, home to the pharaohs that raised the pyramids.
Saqqara is one of several other notable necropolis sites near Cairo that offer impressive sights and hold great archaeological significance. In fact, Saqqara may hold more interest to archaeologists than Giza. The huge site hosts burials dating from before the beginning of the Old Kingdom up through the Greek Period of Egyptian history. The most famous structure by far at Saqqara is Djoser’s Step Pyramid. Dating from the 3rd dynasty (2667—2448 BC), it was the first all-stone complex ever built on earth. It also displays an important architectural innovation for the construction of the Giza Pyramids and other later pyramids in the 4th dynasty and later. Djoser’s pyramid was the first to use multiple mastabas (rectangular tomb structures) stacked on top of one another to form a step pyramid.This construction set the stage for the smooth sides of the Giza Pyramids and the smaller 5th and 6th dynasty pyramids that are found at Saqqara and other sites nearby, such as Dahshur and Abu Sir.

Amazing solo tour in Memphis, Saqqara and Dashur

5.00I had a solo trip planned for this holiday to Cairo exploring the pyramids and I booked with Aly in advance. The tour consisted of full-day with Aly to Saqqara, Dahshur and Memphis during and I’m really glad I booked with him. Aly was kind, professional, and extremely well organised. The driver he arranged was excellent — safe, calm, and made the long day feel smooth and comfortable. One of the many highlights was Dahshur. Aly clearly has strong local connections there, and because of that we were able to get special access to tomb access that I would doubt I would have found or entered on my own. It made the experience feel much more unique and meaningful, not just like a standard tourist day. What really stood out was how thoughtful Aly was. It was my birthday, and he surprised me with a cake with my name on it and a small Egyptian band at lunch it such a beautiful memory. The lunch itself was also excellent. The only thing to mention is that although I booked a private tour, it ended up being shared with a small group of 3 (they were lovely) but I would have preferred to decide in advance not on the day. However, Aly did compensate for this by including lunch and he still made sure the day felt special and well taken care of. Overall, I had a wonderful day and would definitely recommend Aly to anyone visiting Egypt who wants a reliable guide with great energy, local knowledge, and genuine effort!

5.00We met s Aly in Sakkara, guiding some Spaniards. We were invited to join a part of the visit and I found a great guide with very clear and very generous English. As an archaeologist his explanations were very interesting. If you can, don't hesitate to hire him. Sure it will be an unforgettable experience and you will enjoy the trip much more.

5.00Our tour of the Giza Pyramids with Nabil was absolutely incredible and far exceeded our expectations. Nabil is an exceptionally knowledgeable Egyptologist and historian. I had no idea how much education and training tour guides in Egypt go through, and it truly showed in the way he explained the history—engaging, clear, and fascinating from start to finish. We loved our experience with Nabil so much that we booked an additional tour with him to see Dahshur, Memphis, and several tombs and pyramids. Once again, he was outstanding. He went well beyond being just informative—he was incredibly kind, respectful, and genuinely cared about our experience. He helped us navigate shops, made sure we felt safe and comfortable, and was always attentive to our needs. What truly sets Nabil apart is his character. One member of our group became ill and stayed back at the hotel on a day we were touring with another guide. Even though he was not assigned to us that day, Nabil stepped in and helped ensure our group member received medical attention. That level of care and dedication is rare and speaks volumes about the kind of person he is. Nabil is intelligent, hardworking, and exceptionally professional. If you are booking a tour in Egypt through Viator, I highly recommend requesting Nabil—you will not be disappointed. This was truly a highlight of our trip.

5.00We met Aly when he guided us through the Ancient Egyptian Museum. We immediately realized he was a man with a vast knowledge of ancient Egypt. He told his stories in a captivating and structured way, and he also had a keen eye for detail and a great sense of humor. So when he suggested we explore Saqqara, Dashur, and Memphis together, we didn't hesitate. Besides the aforementioned qualities, Aly is also a man who listens to what his clients want. This allowed us to enjoy places rarely visited by tourists—the silence of the desert, the splendor of the temples—while avoiding the tourist traps. Now, several days later, I still fondly remember our day trip, where we not only learned so much about ancient Egypt but also discovered so much beauty. It was a truly rewarding day. On another day, Aly guided us through the GEM, and that experience was also very positive. The selection at GEM is so extensive that you practically need a guide to show you around and help you make choices with engaging stories. We also had plenty of time to explore the museum on our own. Again a wonderful experience.

5.00We hired our guide Aly for two days to go to the pyramids of Gize, the GEM and Saqqara, Memphis and Djoser. What an experience. Aly, our guide was a basket full of wisdom, humour and knowledge. He brought us to places where normal tourist buses won't go. We had two unique days with him. When you're in Cairo and you don't like tourist traps, well than Aly is your perfect guide because he let you see the pure beauty of this historic places.
