Arriving at the Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center, you’ll have two hours to explore this stunning natural wonder. Here you can choose to wander trails, photograph the glacier from the distance, or explore the Visitor’s Center. With various walking trails available, visitors of all fitness levels can enjoy spectacular views of the glacier, Mendenhall Lake, and the untouched wilderness. Entry to the Visitor’s Center is included where you can enjoy interactive exhibits and educational presentations.

4.00The tour company was very good - well organised. The driver was extremely funny and knowledgeable 😃 The walk to Nugget Waterfall is good and the Visitor Centre was interesting. Some of the trails lead to seeing the salmon spawning and if you are extremely lucky the chance of seeing Black Bears (unfortunately we missed a mama bear and her cubs by minutes!!). I would say the tour is a gentle and relaxing way to spend of couple of hours if you have spare down time 😃
Not a tour, just a ride to and from glacier

2.00Archie, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable, but this was not a tour. It was mostly just a ride to and from the glacier. This can be done much more cheaply by just taking a taxi or another service directly at the port. We were disappointed that there was nothing else offered as part of this.

2.00I recently visited Mendenhall Glacier and had a mixed experience. Our driver, Archie, was a nice guy, but his corny jokes and silliness felt a bit over the top—something I could have done without. While the excursion cost $86, it seemed a bit steep considering all we got was a 30-minute drive each way with some commentary. I would not recommend this excursion given the expense and limited experience. If I were to do it again, I would opt for alternative transportation options like the trolley or a taxi.

2.00Tour was too crowded it was raining that day the trail to see the falls was closed. Way too many people blocking the trails. Waiting in line for 20 minutes in the rain because our bus driver was late. Very miserable day. The visitor center was scary too crowded with people. We could barely walk in there
