Meteora
By reaching Kalambaka, an important town well known due to the second largest and most important complexes of Eastern Orthodox Monasteries in Greece after Mount Athos, Meteora, you will have the potentiality to visit two or three of the six suspended in the air Monasteries, built on natural sand stone rock pillars. The Meteora Monasteries date back to the 11th century and are included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites. The James Bond movie for your eyes only was filmed at the Monastery of Holy Trinity.
Thermopylae
The Thermopylae or else the Hot Gates is an important town well known for the battle among the Greek forces including the 300 Spartans and their leader King Leonidas and the Persians in 480 BC, commemorated by Simonides in the famous epitaph, "Go tell the Spartans, stranger passing by, That here obedient to their laws we lie." The monument of King Leonidas was erected by the battlefield reminding all of us of the sacrifice of those patriots for a free country.

He knows the places perfectly well and knows how to avoid crowds in addition to recommending little-known places and quality restaurants. This is my second time in Greece and second time hiring HP tours, absolutely recommended

5.00My wife and I were assisted by Jimmy to do a two-day tour of Meteora from Athens. We were pleased with the professionalism of Jimmi as the driver and guide. Despite flight delays, we were able to cover the major monasteries at Meteora. I highly recommend Hellenic Private Tours with Jimmy.

5.00This was a remarkable day. The photos of the monasteries had prepared us to be awed but being there in person far exceeded our expectations. Our driver was wonderful, professional and friendly. The trip requires a lot of time in the car, but we were comfortable and it was so worth it.

5.00We went as 2 families in a private tour( 10 seater Mercedes) and we did 4 diff private tours from the same company . Hands down one of the best tour experiences I have had . They took us to two Monasteries with great views, and on the way stopped at some local restaurants and shops to buy the famous halwa. They took us to Thermopylea the place where the Sparta war happened and covered extra things. I would recommend them to everyone. Look no further and book with them.

5.00Wonderful experience, beyond expectation! The hotel was great. Kostas, the guide, willing to serve us in whatever we asked, experienced and attentive. Nancy informative, very friendly, laughable and helpful, offered us excellent options for accommodation, food and places to tour made us immediately feel very familiar.
Couldn’t be more pleased! Definitely recommend!

5.00Couldn’t be more pleased with the service provided. I used the company twice (pick up from airport as well as a two day private tour of Meteora). Had the pleasure of getting Themis as our driver for both trips. They were very professional, knowledgeable, on time, spoke great English and a pleasure to be around. Made us all feel very comfortable and went above and beyond to accommodate our large party and some of our kids and senior citizen’s needs. Would definitely recommend them and would use them again.
