5.00It's not every day that you discover a city through its most authentic flavors, but with Eating for Carmen we did it great. The gastronomic tour was a journey into the history and culture of Mexican cuisine, led by Indra Bianchi, a young Italian-Mexican: musician, curious, passionate, and above all very knowledgeable about the culinary traditions of his country. His energy turned a simple tour into a living tale, full of details, anecdotes and little secrets. We tasted delicious dishes in three different places: a fresh and fragrant ceviche, tacos with shrimp and octopus that alone are worth the trip, a textbook tuna tostada, crisp and light. All closed by a cream cutter ice cream in a typical kiosk — simple and perfect, a real shot in the heart. And not only cooking: I also learned that a cerveza can turn into a michelada or an ojo rojo depending on how you season it. Small lessons that stick with you and tell a lot about Mexican creativity. If you are in Playa del Carmen and really want to understand the city through what it eats, this tour is the one: genuine, fun, and rich in culture. Highly recommended.

5.00It was an unforgettable experience. I loved getting to know new people, eating the best seafood, wandering around Playa del Carmen and having a few drinks. I highly recommend the experience. Our guide, Emmanuel had a great attitude, shared knowledge about the food and drinks we had, and was fun to be around. Overall a very fun and comfortable way to spend an afternoon in Playa.

5.00Alex was the best. My daughter and I loved all of his food and drink choices. We enjoyed learning about the area from him. Whenever I travel I try to do a good tour at the beginning of the trip, this tour exceeded all of the others. The food from the tuna tostada to the ceviche was to die for. Do the seafood tour-you won’t regret it.

5.00Tour guide Abbey was good. Food stops were more local and off the tourist highway. And the seafood was all really good. Beers too. A nice way to spend the afternoon. And get a feel for Playa de Carmen.

5.00Couldn’t have asked for a better tour with Abbey! Food was amazing and she was great. The ceviche was my favorite but the entire tour was so good. Even had two places give me desert and a free shot for my birthday which was awesome. Will definitely be back!
