Enjoy a 13-hour trip to one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites, the Bernina TRAIN railway, passing before along Lake Como and a beautiful Alpine valley. We stop in a charming lakeshore village and, possibly, later by a winery or old cellar experience or a cafè!
In Tirano you have around one hour for your lunch and then we board the Bernina TRAIN that climbs the Swiss Alps.
We get off at one the highest point to enjoy snowcaps and glaciers view.
Afterward we head to St. Moritz where you have about 45 minutes to explore this fashionable resort, one of the most well known in the world.
At the end of it we go back to Lake Como, through another spectacular valley in Switzerland, from where you board either the regular train or the minibus for a ride on your return to Milan.

5.00I wouldn’t be able to even call this a “excursion” but a once in your life day trip you must book! From the start I had read other reviews coming from Milan to the Bernia express and most had stated, long journeys by bus or mini van. This particular one has the exact opposite, you start with the train in Milan Central and head towards Tirano. Julia had met us onboard and was just a delight from start to the end at 9pm. The amount of alone time is perfect and she is sure to keep her eye on you along the way lol. I probably couldn’t have been with a better group for I was solo on this trip. By far the best in all my journeys. Fantastic experience and great memories were made by all.

5.00Giulia was our guide and she’s super awesome. Very kind, fun, intimate because it was a perfect small group and knowledgeable. We would love to go on another tour/ different location with her if we had more time. It was a beautiful day in the alps.

5.00The tour was great Luca our guide was friendly, informative and very helpful. The whole trip was well organised and definitely recommend the Bernina Red train rather than the panoramic for photographs as all the windows open and the views are spectacular.

The Perfect One Day Escape from Milan

5.00This was one of our favorite excursions. We had a short time in Milan and wanted to see and do as much as possible in one day, and this tour was perfect. Luca Tours was amazing. We were a small group, which allowed for great interaction with Luca. Our first stop was Lake Como, where we enjoyed breakfast with beautiful views while Luca shared the history of the area. From there, we visited a vineyard in the Valtellina Valley for a tour, wine tasting, and some delicious cheeses and meats. Next, we entered Tirano in northern Italy, where we had time to stroll, enjoy lunch, and taste some local specialties before boarding the Bernina Express. The train then took us into Switzerland and through the Alps. Wow. This is something we will never forget. We traveled from the base to the top of the Alps all the way to St. Moritz, where we enjoyed shopping and grabbing a gelato before heading back. It was a full day, but Luca made it completely stress-free by handling every detail. We felt comfortable the entire time, and he was incredibly knowledgeable about the region. The views were breathtaking. We will definitely return and plan another trip through Luca Tours. Truly an unforgettable experience.
