  It’s a long bus ride, so strongly recommend the flight back to Queenstown from Milford. Scenery is awesome, our guides were great trhoughout the day

  What an amazing experience! I loved all three sections of the tour! Your quide was very informative, knowledgeable, and entertaining! Alegra was amazing. She kept everything going smoothly. The boat tour around the fjord was really cool! The return flight was amazing!   Absolutely perfect day! The drive out with our guide Do was excellent. She gave great commentary and made several stops to beautiful scenic roots along the way. I loved Do's playlist! Her info and insights on the areas we passed was helpful and entertaining. The cruise on Milford Sound was beautiful. The flight back to Queenstown was an excellent way to see the beauty of Milford Sound and Queenstown from another perspective. The plane ride was bumpy but our pilot was excellent. Highly recommend this awesome experience.

  It’s like a fun road trip with stunning views and many photo opps. The boat cruise was above and beyond expectation. So glad we chose this tour. Amy R is a great tour guide and provided lots of information along the way.

  

• Magical trip to Milford Sound

  Fantastic crew both on the flight and on the cruise. Stu was our pilot there and back. With 40 years flying experience we were able to relax and feel safe in his hands, so we could enjoy the flights. He prepared us in advance about the inevitable bumpy headwinds on our ascents and descents, which put us at ease. He also shared many facts about the landscape as we flew over it. He was also friendly and polite when giving us instructions. The same was true of the young crew manning the cruise ship. We were all welcomed with smiles upon boarding, we were told where we could obtain complimentary drinks, and we were given plenty of facts about Milford Sound and its history throughout the cruise. • Booked very early and then disappointed

  Unfortunately, our flight was confirmed as part of the trip to first the day before at 1pm and then canceled at 2:30pm due to work at the airfield. Very short notice for a trip we booked half a year earlier. We then accepted the offer coach-cruise-coach around and hope for a corresponding refund.

• Milford sound drive/fly tour

  it rains 260 days a year, and apparently they often cancel flights if you've booked a bus one way and a flight to get back to queenstown. the refund for the cancelled flight from viator was significantly less than the cost if you booked direct with the tour company. then, if you choose to get a chopper back, the cost is ridiculous.

  We did the plane ride for return. Well worth it for the sights and time. Beautiful experience, loved every minute
