Milford Sound
Step aboard our magnificent three deck catamarans, and enjoy a scenic cruise along spectacular Milford Sound. Get up close and personal with the fiord's towering mountains, sheer cliffs and hanging valleys as the boat hugs the edges of the fiord throughout the two hour cruise. Feel the spray from the waterfalls that cascade from an ancient rainforest high in the mountains and look out for New Zealand fur seal colonies and occasionally dolphins swimming nearby. The cruise goes the full length of the fiord to the Tasman Sea and return down the opposite side. During the exploration you will pass iconic landmarks such as Bowen Falls, Mitre Peak, Copper Point, Fairy Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Dale Point, Seal Rock and of course Stirling Falls.

5.00Excellent like a dream. It was raining . We loved the waterfalls. Get spare clothing and shoes to change after the trip. Pure milford ship was unreal.

5.00The cruise at Milford is one of the best things to do in New Zealand. It's a remarkable place with outstanding beauty and scenery. You can see many waterfalls, fjords, and experience the open sea too. There are many photo/video opportunities. People come from around the world to experience it. There is also a buffet lunch around 1pm on the Milford Monarch. I would definitely do this again. I recommend taking the bus in and out of Te Anau/Queenstown.

4.00Great informative cruise. Staff were great and friendly. Although weather wasn’t the best, the cruise itself was great. Commentary was informative said with great humour, thanks to the Captain. Nick was very helpful and also had a great sense of humour. Felt very safe in the hands of the staff even with the bad weather we were given on the day

4.00We enjoyed a lovely morning cruise, taking in the beautiful scenery. The gentle boat ride was a truly pleasant experience. It was a wonderful way to start the day. However, it's worth noting that the area was quite busy with many visitors. This made for a rather crowded atmosphere during our visit.

4.00Beautiful as expected even if I would definitely recommend to go on a rainy day and not a sunny one. It was still amazing but I wish I had seen much more falls. The cruise on herself is very pleasant and the sun also allow to relax on top of the boat. However even if sunny don't forget to bring a jacket ! Also I feel like the price is quite expensive (especially because I thought I brought the ticket in NZ dollars and realized afterwards it was US dollars 🥲). You also need to be prepared by the fact that this is a touristic attraction so don't expect to much of the silence and quiet of the mountains. The captain (and staff in general) were really nice and knowledgeable people. In the end, the beautiful scenery is going to stick with for some time I think 😁.
