Amazing! Went on the 9.30am cruise, fortunate to have great sunny weather. Not too many people on our boat which was nice. Going on the morning cruise meant there were no other boats around us. Complimentary coffee and tea were included.

Highly recommend the early morning cruise, a lot less people, still, calm and clear weather so worth the early start. We were very privileged to see a large pod of dusky dolphins feeding as well as rock sausages (seals) basking in the sun. Commentary was fantastic funny and informative.

Make sure you get there way before departure to find parking, pay for it, walk to the Pure Milford counter to redeem your entry cards. Other then that, STUNNING.

Book the cruise through Viator, on the Christmas Day. I didn't know about any of the different cruise companies however went along with the "Pure Milford" which showed availability in the viator site. We had the 9:30 am early Cruise and it was fantastic. It was a large vessel named "Maiden of Milford" which had a huge upper deck with 360 degree view. Perhaps it being the Christmas day there were not many people. We had about 14 passengers plus 4 crew members. It felt like we hired a private boat for ourselves. Crew members are all very friendly and the captain had a good sense of humour. Milford sound itself is serene: perhaps the most beautiful landscape you would see in your lifetime. We were lucky to see a group of dolphins and several New Zealand seals along the way
