You are guaranteed a window seat with unimpaired views as you fly this incredible route to and from Milford Sound through a landscape of unbelievable grandeur and beauty. Encounter real mountain flying and marvel at the most remarkable snow-capped mountains and glaciers onboard our fixed-wing aircraft. Flying across the Southern Alps, out to the West Coast and the Tasman Sea before flying through the Fiord itself to land in Milford Sound.
Once in Milford, your pilot will accompany you to the boat terminal. Discover the natural wonders of Milford Sound aboard your cruise vessel with open-air viewing decks, a perfect location for some wildlife spotting. The Fiord is home to fur seal colonies, penguins, and dolphins, who love playing in the wake of the boat. You will cruise the length of the Fiord out to the Tasman Sea with a pass under Stirling Falls on the return.

Milford Sound
Once in Milford Sound, your pilot will accompany you from the airport to the boat terminal. Everything is organised for you, you don't have to worry about a thing! Step on board your cruise lasting at least 1hr 45mins, you will travel the length of the Fiord and out to the Tasman Sea. Stopping at waterfalls and points of interest along the way, if you're lucky you'll also get to experience the local wildlife - the dolphins love playing in the wake of the boat!

5.00Myself and my wife did the return flight to Millford sound with a Catamaran cruise up to the Tasman sea all was so well organised from the time we were picked up from our hotel to the time we were delivered back all safe and sound, staff 10 out of 10 Office ladys, and pilot just go guys you will not regret its the best loot you spent in Queenstown compared to 5 hours each way by coach...

5.00The trips organised and flown by Glenorchy Air are all bucket list items and ours was no exception. Everything was well organised right from the date we booked. The pick up from our hotel by Ivan was punctual, the briefing and the flight itself captained by Ben was excellent. No canned tapes playing, just our pilot talking us through all the sights to and from Milford. I am a retired pilot myself with almost 20,000 hours experience and I was very impressed by Ben's absolute professionalism and dedication to keeping everyone safe. I'd never flown down a canyon/fjord before and so the flight into Milford was a real eye opener. Since we'd already driven a lot around the region, we had no desire for an 8 hour return drive from Queensland and the Glenorchy integrated flight & cruise worked really well. Thank you once again!

5.00Literally once in a lifetime experience and so glad I did it. I was a bit nervous about the flight but it was so smooth. Ben our pilot explained everything along the way so clearly and gave us a smooth flight. 5 stars and highly recommended!
Enjoying Milford Sound thru Glenorch Air

5.00Originally, our flight was for the 10 May but had to be rescheduled to the 11 May due to weather conditions. Glenorch Air emailed us in advance to inform of the rescheduled date, which I thought was very responsible. On the day itself, the pick up was on time and the pick point was easy to get to for us. 5 mins away from where we stayed in Frankton. Our pilot, Isabel Woodhouse was a very professional, humorous and lively lady. She ensured that we are safe throughout the flight and that we were updated of all the scenarios location and information. It was a very good flight and we enjoyed both the flight and cruise. Milford Sound was definitely the highlight of the trip, and we were glad that we choose Glenorch Air as our trip operator. Please kindly consider this if you dread the long hours of driving in and out of Milford Sound.

5.00My partner and I had the most amazing experience. Our pilot Jim was excellent! Very reassuring, knowledgeable and professional. He really made our experience a fantastic one. Beautiful views throughout the whole flight & Milford sound cruise. Cannot recommend this activity enough!!!!

5.00Absolutely worth every cent! The guides (Ivan) and pilot (Will) were very knowledgeable and made the whole day run smoothly and a lot of fun. The plane was really modern and very clean, we got a great view of Queenstown and the alps on the way to Milford Sound and Will named the mountains and landmarks we were flying past. The cruise boat was very spacious, with lots of outside decks to look at the incredible scenery. It was a smooth cruise and we even had a pod a 4 dolphins ride the bow waves for about 15 minutes as we made our way back to the harbour. All in all, a top day out and very memorable experience.

5.00We flew with pilot Annabelle in tail number PPR….one little bump in the air each way, made for a perfect flight!!! Smoother landings than Aussie commercial flights!!
