You are guaranteed a window seat with unimpaired views as you fly this incredible route to and from Milford Sound through a landscape of unbelievable grandeur and beauty. Encounter real mountain flying and marvel at the most remarkable snow-capped mountains and glaciers onboard our fixed-wing aircraft. Your knowledgeable, highly skilled local pilot providing interesting and informative commentary. Flying across the Southern Alps, out to the West Coast and the Tasman Sea before flying through the Fiord itself to land in Milford Sound.
Once in Milford, your pilot will accompany you to the boat terminal. Discover the natural wonders of Milford Sound aboard your cruise vessel with open-air viewing decks, a perfect location for some wildlife spotting. The Fiord is home to fur seal colonies, penguins, and dolphins, who love playing in the wake of the boat. You will cruise the length of the Fiord out to the Tasman Sea with a pass under Sterling Falls on the return.

Milford Sound
Once in Milford Sound, your pilot will accompany you from the airport to the boat terminal. Everything is organised for you, you don't have to worry about a thing! Step on board your cruise lasting at least 1hr 45mins, you will travel the length of the Fiord and out to the Tasman Sea. Stopping at waterfalls and points of interest along the way, if you're lucky you'll also get to experience the local wildlife - the dolphins love playing in the wake of the boat!

5.00We booked a tour with Glenorchy Air as soon as we arrived in Queenstown, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip. The staff at the airport were incredibly friendly and encouraged us to take the excursion — we’re so glad they did! The flight to Milford Sound was absolutely breathtaking. Our pilot, Meaghan, and co-pilot, Isabelle, were wonderful — warm, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain all the amazing sights below us. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Queenstown. Flying to Milford Sound with Glenorchy Air is truly unforgettable.

5.00We had an amazing half day tour with Glenorchy Air. Our pilot Annabelle was awesome! So friendly, professional, and informative. We got lucky with amazing weather as well. The flight over the mountains to Milford Sound was incredible, and the cruise was great too. Worth every penny.

5.00The most incredible day, truly a once in a life time experience. We did the flight and cruise to Milford Sounds and couldn’t have asked for a better day. Our pilot Annabel was absolutely incredible, very informative, reassuring and professional. We felt very safe with her and felt we were in the best hands. The day ran so smoothly and we counted our lucky stars that the weather was so magnificent! The cruise was stunning and the scenery was breathtaking. Would 100% recommend this company to anyone!

5.00After a great experience on our coach trip to Milford Sound and spectacular scenic cruise, we opted to return on the fixed wing flight which was a highlight of the trip. Our pilot Rob shared his knowledge as he navigated us back to Queenstown. The scenery was beautiful. A truly once in a lifetime experience for us. We were then returned to our hotel after a wonderful day!

5.00A big thanks to Buffalo Jim for making our trip a fantastic experience. He covered all the important safety stuff and made us all feel safe with his knowledge and experience. A bunch of laughs along the way and just the right amount of commentary for the trip.
