  Our flight from Milford Sound back to Queenstown was absolutely incredible and easily one of the highlights of our trip! Luke, our pilot, was amazing! He so professional, personable, and incredibly knowledgeable, which made us feel completely at ease the whole time. The flight itself was unreal! About 45 minutes, super smooth, comfortable, and honestly so much fun. There was only 6 of us on the plane. The views were absolutely breathtaking the entire way, and it’s such a unique way to experience the landscape. We couldn’t stop smiling the whole time! • Flight to Milford Sounds in a small plane

  Booked just one day before with George from Happy Travel, I was picked up punctually the next morning at the agreed meeting point. 15 min later we were at Tru South's office where I could check in. 15 min later we were told it had clouds and the start was postponed around that. This happened twice more and 1 h 15 min later it really started. In the small plane with 11 seats, everyone had a seat at the window. Michael flew us safely and with incredible views over the mountains to the fjord of Milford Sound. He gave exciting hints and pointed and various things. It was a beautiful flight on which I couldn’t get out of the astonishment. Not on foot as advertised, but by bus, we drove to the ship terminal and there the ship could already be boarded. It was not a small ship as advertised, but a big one in my view. But we also delayed the time and thus had a promising flight. With Southern Discoveries we went to Milford Sound. There were good descriptions on the ship and the captain drove very safely. But after the fantastic flight, this could not top the boat trip. There was a cafe and toilets on the ship. After 2 h on the water we went again by bus to the nearby airfield. Michael flew us safely and on another promising route back to Queenstown. It was awesome! The bus then dropped me off at the town centre so I could enjoy the afternoon in the town. It was a great trip with True South and I can only recommend this one! The cost is definitely worth it!   Great option to get back to Queenstown Milford Sound with spectacular views of the mountains and lakes. Our pilot Josh (Turner?), was helpful, informative and very professional and got us to our destination safely.

• Jaw dropping Fiordland views like no other

  When someone asks if you want to change from the Coach and cruise tour to a flight back, DO THE FLIGHT!!! This is a trip of a lifetime. Jason elevated our honeymoon trip, physically! Flying in Cessna 208 Grand Caravan with just about 7 other people, me, my husband and the Pilot, Jason it was the experience of a lifetime. The views are jaw dropping. The views from the coach are fantastic but then you get into the sky! While I couldn’t hear much of the commentary because it’s quite loud inside the plane, the views are enough.   Dan our pilot was excellent, and I was lucky enough to sit next to him and be the Copilot. He was calming and advised in advance of any turbulence which didn’t make it surprise, would highly recommend
