Awesome! Breathtaking! Our pilot Michael was very good, knew every nook and corner of the area. He navigated the plane very close to glaciers, mountain peaks and it was exhilarating! A must do activity for anyone visiting Milford Sound.

I spontaneously took a scenic flight back from Milford Sound after getting there by coach and enjoying the cruise. I unfortunately had a migraine and was feeling ill from the coach ride (I get motion sickness very easily). I have absolutely no regrets spending money on the scenic flight back, it was truly once in a lifetime and spectacular! Luke and Jason did a wonderful job flying us over the glaciers. The Cessna plane was very comfortable. Before flying, I was a bit worried the flight might be bumpy given how small the plane is, but I was very quickly reassured. The flight was incredibly smooth from take off to landing, very comfortable, and it was overall an amazing experience. I highly recommend for anyone who is considering doing this - it's actually worth it!

Absolutely amazing! There was a tsunami warning today and the pilot’s patiently waited hoping to get us out on the boat. They gave us updates and instructed us to walk for the views. This company was one of two boats that went out this afternoon, all the other bigger company had returned everyone back to Queenstown without hesitation. True South definitely has your back and makes sure that you have an unforgettable time and the service from both the reception and pilot show it! Not to forget the staff on board were sensational at explaining the fjord. Truly love the experience from True South! Will definitely be booking other tours with them in the future and recommending to friends and family!!!

We took the flight from Milford sound back to Queenstown. It was a spectacular experience. The weather was great, so we had beautiful views. Our pilot, Luke, did a wonderful job flying the plane and narrating. I usually don't like flying, but I felt safe and relaxed the entire time. Thanks, Luke, for a great experience.

Highly recommend True South for the Milford Sound flight. We were scheduled for a boat cruise as well but because of weather coming in, we couldn’t do the boat part. True South was very proactive and responsive in helping us with alternative options and we ultimately decided to do the flyover rather than cancel the whole trip. Liam was our pilot and was great! Very friendly, helped to calm those of us scared to fly and reassured us that all was safe. He explained there would be turbulence and what the flight would feel like so I appreciated that. The views were stunning and Liam explained everything and really made the trip worth it! One of the highlights of my trip. If it is not possible to land for the boat trip but the flight is still available, do it as the flyover views were incredible. Thank you True South!!

We had the most amazing day flying over the beautiful Lake, mountains and Milford Sound itself…. stunning views…😊 Luke our pilot was calm, professional, knowledgable and enthusiastic about the area… it was fun and we felt totally safe. Fully recommended.

I recently took a tour with True South to Milford Sound, and it was easily one of the highlights of my trip. I’ve taken several other tours across the globe and True South stood out as the most friendly, prompt, and professional outfit I’ve dealt with. From booking to the actual tour, everything was handled seamlessly, making the experience smooth and stress-free. Our pilot, Andrew, was fantastic—he brought incredible local knowledge, was super friendly, and went above and beyond to make the tour special. The weather was perfect, and Andrew’s skill as a pilot made for a comfortable, scenic flight. His enthusiasm and expertise made the tour feel truly memorable, and it’s clear he’s passionate about the area. For anyone considering an aerial tour, I would absolutely recommend flying with Andrew at True South. They set a high standard for service, and I look forward to flying with them again in the future!

This was an impulse treat to myself initially, to avoid the 4 hour return journey to Queenstown on a cramped, uncomfortable mini bus - but it turned out to be so much more! The pilot, Jason was great. I had never been in a small plane before and was a little nervous, but he explained everything, was reassuring and exuded confidence and competence. I loved that he took photos of each of us by the plane before take off and was so solicitous to those who needed help. He gave a good commentary through the flight, circled back over the fjord initially and really gave us an unforgettable experience. The fact that it was a glorious day also helped! The mini bus back to our accommodation was included, comfortable and again had a very personable, friendly & helpful driver. Highly recommend.
