  We had a great time, especially at the hummingbird preserve. It was so awesome. Diana was a great guide and catered the day to our wants and needs.

  Hugo is a great knowledgeable tour guide. He promptly picked us up from our hotel at 8am. Then he gives you different options of where you want to go depending on your athletic ability note that the waterfall hikes are more advanced, bring water and a hat. We drove straight to the hummingbird sanctuary (5$ donation), then waterfall hour long hike (bring swimming suit if you want to swim) 5$ for cable car forest ride over to waterfalls, then butterfly sanctuary 5$ entrance, then chocolate tour 8.50$. He will stop for lunch in Mindo whenever you want an he knows good places to eat.   It was a great experience with a variety of activities from seeing humming birds, hiking to a waterfall, admiring wild orchids and learning about chocolate making. The guide José was very professional and informative. I really enjoyed the day and I recommend this activity.

  We had an amazing day with our guide Fredy. We were collected in his comfortable car and went to two bird watching parks and a butterfly park. We loved seeing the hummingbirds and tanagers - take binoculars. The itinerary was tailored to our interests and Fredy even let us have a quick stop at the equator memorial on the way back. He was very knowledgeable about birds and knew the best place for lunch in Mindo. A great trip.

  We had a terrific day full of activity. We went to the Chocolate Factory in Mindo, the Mindo Cloud Forest and the humming bird sanctuary. Ivan let us stop for lunch at a fantastic place called Serenity for lunch. We preordered for faster service for the 10 of us. 6 adults and 4 kids. Eddie’s driving was outstanding all day! Thank you! Ivan’s English was outstanding. The kids loved it ages 6,7,9,10.

  Our guide Ivan showed us the best of everything (including his great humour)! Hummingbirds made us squeal with delight. The cable car ride and hike to the waterfall provided gorgeous vistas not found any other way. Butterflies brought immense joy (and the lunch there was delicious)!   We had an incredible experience on our Mindo Cloud Forest tour! The day began with a long drive from Quito to the Mindo region where we began by hiking to a beautiful waterfall and then took a cable car back to our van to travel to the next activity. Our guide Julie was extremely knowledgeable, pointing out flora and fauna during our hike and making sure everyone in our group was comfortable. Unfortunately, we didn’t spot any birds but the hike was still lovely. We stopped for lunch at a delicious restaurant then headed to a chocolate factory. At the chocolate factory, we learned how cocoa beans are grown, harvested and processed plus we got to try ~20 different chocolates, hot cocoa, cocoa tea, and a brownie. The guide at the chocolate factory made us feel welcome and we enjoyed all the treats we tried. Finally, we traveled to a hummingbird sanctuary. This part was our absolute favorite! Immediately upon arrival, we were given hummingbird nectar and the tiny creatures landed on our hands. This was such a neat experience and something we will never forget. Very thankful for how well this tour turned out!

  A great day out, we were offered a range of options so our tour included the places we most wanted to visit. Our guide, Fredy, was very knowledgable, friendly, helpful and enthusiastic, also a good, safe driver.

  Mindo Cloud Forest be prepared for a full day of light hiking with spectacular experiencing hummingbirds waterfalls butterflies a delightful lunch and a chocolate factory experience. So much to experience treasure your experience.

• Nice outing but not for young children

  We visited some very nice places, but honestly I found it was not worth so much for the hours spent in transport by car. It's not true that it's a 2-hour drive to get to Mindo de Quito. We took 2h30 in the morning to surrender and more than 3h to come back at the end of the day. We spent almost 6 hours in transport by car on a day of 11 hours in total. The guide and the driver were great, we learned a lot, but far too much transport for the activities on offer (which is a huge extra charge as they are not even included in the amount for this tour). In addition, I had asked questions before booking whether it was appropriate for young children (4 and 6 in our case), I was assured that it was. As usual, I have the impression that the agencies are thinking more about making money than about giving proper experiences. My 4 year old was not able to hike the waterfall, I had to carry it and it was very difficult. It's physically demanding. In short, I do not recommend to a family with young children or a person with motion sickness.
