Mindo – Nambillo is an ecological reserve, with approximately 22.000 hectares of primary forest. Inside this preserved area we can find a natural complex of 15 waterfalls, each one of them with a different height and beauty! Your guide will pick you up at 8:00 a.m. from your hotel in Quito, in order to visit this fascinating place full of wildlife!

Once at 1.900 meters above sea level (6,233 ft), hummingbirds, air plants, orchids and other surprising exotic species will take our full attention! After going all the way through the curvy road, we will stop at a Hummingbirds' farm to enjoy breath-taking experiences with this little creatures and the amazing scenery.

Trip to Mindo cloud forest was a very nice day trip from Quito. The guide Jimena provided detail information on the flora and fauna of the region and how clouds culminate into waterfall. The trip to the humming bird reserve and knowing in detail how cocoa pods are transformed into chocolate was very interesting.

Fabulous day out from 8- 6:30pm seeing the Hummingbird farm (which was magical), walking in the Mindo Cloud forest (which was beautiful, but little bird life as we were there too late in the day). Then we did a fabulous chocolate tasting at Maya chocolates. Excellent tour where we actually made chocolate, ate and drank it and even used the molten chocolate as a facial spa. Carlos was very friendly , helpful and an experienced tour guide!

Luis was an amazing guide. An encyclopedia of knowledge about the cloud forest flora and fauna. Exceptional guide and driver. He made our first trip to Ecuador amazing. We would return for another trip with this guide. There is so much to explore here

The Cloud forest trip was good. Lots of fauna. No orchids as it was not the season. No animals. Beautiful falls and a short tram ride. Lots of hiking to get to the top most falls. We visited the Humming bird place, it was good, lots of Hummingbirds. The key to a private tour is u can customize it, and leave out places that u are not interested in. Our guide Luis was excellent.

We had a great day with our guide Luis. Pickup from the hotel was prompt with excellent driving in his truck. The stop at the hummingbird garden was our favorite. So amazing! We also chose to do a short hike which included the cable car in the jungle. It was a beautiful day which ironically is not the best weather for this trip. You'll see many more birds and clouds if the weather is not sunny. Good either way but keep in mind if you are a birder. Very flexible options so you can tailor your trip to your needs/wants. Highly recommend this company, this tour and Luis!

this was a really lovely tour and it was nice that we could customize it to exactly what we wanted. however for the price per person, it's very expensive to not even include entry to any of the places. expect to drop another $20+ per person if you want to actually do anything. our tour guide Myriam was incredibly knowledgeable and so easy to talk to and be around. she made us feel very comfortable and we learned so much from her.

Our guide, Freddy - was on time to pick us up, was flexible with the itinerary to accommodate what we wanted to do, and spoke perfect English and Spanish.
