Travelers will embark on an exciting safari adventure through Minneriya National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic wildlife destinations. You’ll ride in a private 4x4 jeep with a knowledgeable driver-guide who will take you deep into the heart of the park. Along the way, you’ll witness herds of wild elephants—often in large numbers during the dry season—along with a variety of animals such as spotted deer, monkeys, crocodiles, and many species of birds. Thilina was a FANTASTIC guide during my time in Minneriya Park. I was fortunate enough to go in August on a hot day and I saw roughly 200 elephants!!! It was a THRILLING experience and he pointed out interesting details about the elephants and other wildlife we saw throughout the experience. It’s obvious that he loves the animals as much as the tourists who visit which I found very endearing. I also felt very safe with him behind the wheel (as opposed to my safari driver in Yala). Highly recommend!
