Enter the world of Mitai Māori Village and embrace our history and culture. Watch our stories unfold through the dynamic scenes of our warriors paddling down Wai-o-Whiro stream, the melodious sounds of our instruments and entertainment from our performers including the haka. Satisfy your hunger with the traditional Māori Hangi and concluding your evening with a walk through our forest to see the ancient, fortified village learning the old ways of living and survival of our people and discover the natural resource Te Puna a Tuhoe, freshwater spring. The evening is not over until you glimpse the glow worms light up the banks of forest as the veil of darkness sets in.

Nau mai, haere mai, whakatau mai – come and experience our world…

Awesome experience lots of information given about Māori culture. Food was delicious and in abundance. The walks through rain forest and evening glow worms and set up of homes their ancestors built was incredible. The entertainment was fun, colourful and truly informative and inspirational. 👍👏

Extremely well performed cultural show! Hostess was terrific, giving a lot of information on Maori culture and people. The village itself is beautiful with its own water stream and flora and fauna. A must visit place!

Great evening with entertaining show and excellent buffet. Tip - pile your plate as it doesn't seem to be the done thing to go back for seconds ! Extremely informative talk and Q&A although a little heavy when people asked political questions. The canoe landing reconstruction is very evocative an in a stunning location - seeing glowworms was a bonus. Free pick up and drop off was appreciated.
