24 Pass for Ferry and streetcar transportation is 900 Yen for adults, 450 yen for children.
Note: We recommend the meeting point of Miyajimaguchi Passenger Terminal Ticket Office(Ferry Boarding Area for Miyajima) as this tour starts when you meet the guide. The guide can also meet at your hotel in Hiroshima city or at Hiroshima city cruise port. Please be aware that travelling to and from Miyajima is part the the 4 hours.

Daishoin Temple
Daishō-in or Daisyō-in is a historic Japanese temple complex with many temples and statues on Mount Misen, the holy mountain on the island of Itsukushima, off the coast of Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima, Japan. It is the 14th temple in the Chūgoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage and famous for the maple trees and their autumn colors.

3.00I would say it’s my fault that I didn’t appreciate the trip. To be fair to the tour company, it did state clearly that the trip doesn’t include: private transportation, any entry fees for the temples, fears for the ferry, and food etc. It’s my fault that I booked the trip. But I would like to share my experience, so you don’t have to experience the same. Essentially, the tour is £200 to pay for someone’s time for 1-1.5 hours . Our tour guide, he is very nice and he is super helpful. However, the tour itself is deeply flawed. The pick up time is 14:00 and we were supposed to return to our hotel by 18:00. Without private transportation, we had to use public transportation. It takes about 1.5 hours to travel each way. By the time we get to the island it was already 15:30. Most temples close at 17:00 with last entrance at 16:30 or 16:45. So we didn’t spend much time on the island before we had to return home. I have been to 60+ countries, and this is one of the worst tour I have ever had. So please save your money and just use public transport to get to the island and google/ GPT to navigate and search for the things you want to know. You can enjoy the island at your own pace.

5.00Viator never disappoints. Miyajima is a must when visit Japan. Our guide, Son, picked us up at the hotel and took me and my brother, to a personal trip to Miyajima. It was our first time in Hiroshima and we enjoyed this part of the Hiroshima experience very much. Son is very knowledgable and personable. He even gave us tips for other adventures while in Japan. I recommend Son as your tour guide while in Hiroshima.

5.00First of all we would like to say that among all booking tours with TripAdvisor for our 12 days cruise trip in Japan, the arrangements of Miyajima Half Day Private Tour by JGA was the best. We are really glad to have Hiroshi San as our tour guide. He had thought about all the details in advance to make the tour arrangements could be included so much in just half a day. He even purchased the tickets for admission in advance so we could avoid the waiting line at site. He not only introduce the major attractions in the area and also make the reservation in advance to let us have chance to try the local delicacy. Since he is from local and we got a chance to visit the residential house of local people also. We really enjoyed the half day staying at Miyajima and hope we can visit the place again sometime.

5.00Hiroshi was an outstanding guide! He contacted me well in advance of the tour to present an itinerary. He listened to what we wanted to experience while on the island and went well beyond our expectations! We even went to his sister’s house and store. Special guest. Hiroshi lives on the island and knew all of the back streets and best way to get around. He made our return reservation on the ferry that dropped us off right in the Peace Memorial Park. He met us at our hotel in the early morning and stayed with us until we got on the ferry. Beyond the time scheduled. Perfect guide and memorable experience.

5.00What a lovely day we had at Miyajima with our very knowledgeable guide Hashi. She knew how to navigate getting us to the places we needed with mass transportation and took her time at the sites while providing insightful information. Also walked us to different shopping areas and introduced us to local treats and foods of the area. All in all a delightful day. Several tour groups were there too, so it was nice to have our own private guide.

5.00Miyajima is a beautiful island, but it’s rather large. If you don’t have the time to explore it on your own, a tour with Mr. Hiroshi is undoubtedly the best way to do it! Mr. Hiroshi, our guide, was very experienced and knew all about not only Miyajima but Hiroshima as well. He was able to give us tips for our trips beyond Hiroshima as well, suggesting things for Tokyo in the later parts of our trip. Not only that, but when we had to climb up the mountain ourselves due to an unexpected cable car malfunction, Mr. Hiroshi was extremely friendly and helpful in seeing more things in Miyajima as well. I can recommend this tour to anyone wholeheartedly, especially if it is with Mr Hiroshi!
