24 Pass for Ferry and streetcar transportation is 900 Yen for adults, 450 yen for children.
Note: We recommend the meeting point of Miyajimaguchi Passenger Terminal Ticket Office(Ferry Boarding Area for Miyajima) as this tour starts when you meet the guide. The guide can also meet at your hotel in Hiroshima city or at Hiroshima city cruise port. Please be aware that travelling to and from Miyajima is part the the 4 hours.

Daishoin Temple
Daishō-in or Daisyō-in is a historic Japanese temple complex with many temples and statues on Mount Misen, the holy mountain on the island of Itsukushima, off the coast of Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima, Japan. It is the 14th temple in the Chūgoku 33 Kannon Pilgrimage and famous for the maple trees and their autumn colors.

5.00We had a fantastic experience with our guide Kazuhisa. He struck the perfect balance between sharing interesting information and not overwhelming us, which made the tour both engaging and relaxed. He was always happy to answer questions and, most importantly, really listened to our interests and adjusted the tour seamlessly to suit what we wanted to see and learn. We also really enjoyed hearing about his own life and experiences, which added a personal and memorable touch to the day. Highly recommend!

5.00Nori is a gem, like a crystal or emerald, he’s one of a kind! He was super patient with us, as we had just gone to universal the day before, yet was very kind and never made us feel bad about going at a slower pace. He even took the time to walk us through a last minute stop over at Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, which was not on the original itinerary. Nori, thank you for answering our 101 questions. If you ever make the trip to Canada, we all would love to return the favour and show you around! Thank you again for everything!

5.00What an amazing day. First a ride on the fast boat to the island, with good views of the mountains and oysters farms. Emiko was our tour guide and she was so kind and had so much knowledge. She could answer any questions we had. She was so organized and kept in contact with us weeks before the trip. Would highly recommend the tour. It's great to know all the details from colours to numbers. Thanks Emiko!!

5.00Our guide Hiroshi was fantastic. We are a couple who travels a lot, and he was able to match our sightseeing style and was flexible in the tour. We chose to go on the tram and wanted to walk to the top of the mountain. Once at the top of the tram, we realized that the hike would take most of our time and decided not to do it. He was able to pivot and change the tour to accommodate us. During the tour he was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain the significance of what we observed at the Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples, making this a culturally enriching experience for us. Early on the tour I mentioned wanting to find the local Hiroshima special wagashi cookie filled with pumpkin, and he was able to arrange for them to be waiting for me at a tea house at the end of our tour. I would highly recommend him as a guide.
Do not recommend the trip.

3.00I would say it’s my fault that I didn’t appreciate the trip. To be fair to the tour company, it did state clearly that the trip doesn’t include: private transportation, any entry fees for the temples, fears for the ferry, and food etc. It’s my fault that I booked the trip. But I would like to share my experience, so you don’t have to experience the same. Essentially, the tour is £200 to pay for someone’s time for 1-1.5 hours . Our tour guide, he is very nice and he is super helpful. However, the tour itself is deeply flawed. The pick up time is 14:00 and we were supposed to return to our hotel by 18:00. Without private transportation, we had to use public transportation. It takes about 1.5 hours to travel each way. By the time we get to the island it was already 15:30. Most temples close at 17:00 with last entrance at 16:30 or 16:45. So we didn’t spend much time on the island before we had to return home. I have been to 60+ countries, and this is one of the worst tour I have ever had. So please save your money and just use public transport to get to the island and google/ GPT to navigate and search for the things you want to know. You can enjoy the island at your own pace.

5.00Viator never disappoints. Miyajima is a must when visit Japan. Our guide, Son, picked us up at the hotel and took me and my brother, to a personal trip to Miyajima. It was our first time in Hiroshima and we enjoyed this part of the Hiroshima experience very much. Son is very knowledgable and personable. He even gave us tips for other adventures while in Japan. I recommend Son as your tour guide while in Hiroshima.

5.00First of all we would like to say that among all booking tours with TripAdvisor for our 12 days cruise trip in Japan, the arrangements of Miyajima Half Day Private Tour by JGA was the best. We are really glad to have Hiroshi San as our tour guide. He had thought about all the details in advance to make the tour arrangements could be included so much in just half a day. He even purchased the tickets for admission in advance so we could avoid the waiting line at site. He not only introduce the major attractions in the area and also make the reservation in advance to let us have chance to try the local delicacy. Since he is from local and we got a chance to visit the residential house of local people also. We really enjoyed the half day staying at Miyajima and hope we can visit the place again sometime.

5.00Hiroshi was an outstanding guide! He contacted me well in advance of the tour to present an itinerary. He listened to what we wanted to experience while on the island and went well beyond our expectations! We even went to his sister’s house and store. Special guest. Hiroshi lives on the island and knew all of the back streets and best way to get around. He made our return reservation on the ferry that dropped us off right in the Peace Memorial Park. He met us at our hotel in the early morning and stayed with us until we got on the ferry. Beyond the time scheduled. Perfect guide and memorable experience.
