You simply CANNOT miss this! If you & your family are ocean lovers, then this is the day trip from Cabo San Lucas that you would be so sad to miss.
During April-June, Baja Sur hosts an incredible mobula ray aggregation. They travel in 'fevers' of hundreds and thousands; from La Paz down the the Pacific Ocean, in summer. La Ventana is the hot spot of mobula activity, and has a secluded charm that you might have seen of Cabo 30 years ago.
If we find Mobula Rays, they will be launching themselves high out of the water in an acrobatic display. We will jump in & swim with up to a thousand individuals all cruising around together. Sometimes they are close enough for a photo!
But the best bit? It’s possible to also see Orcas, sperm whales, blue whales (many whales, actually!) whalesharks, or swim with wild dolphins. We will picnic at a reef near a sea lion colony.
Nature is everywhere! No specific wildlife is guaranteed! But come and enjpy the day with our expert and experienced crew!

Yes it's an early start! We want to arrive in magical La Ventana with the sunrise to optimise conditions and wildlife encounters! We leave CSL at 5.30 in our van, where we provide a breakfast pack and/or stop after 1.5 hours for bathroom and optional takeaway. Total travel time one-way is about 2.5 hours. We meet the 28' panga boat directly at the beach where we board the boat in ankle deep water: basic mobility for this is required - bring flipflops! We search for the wildlife for 5-6 hours. April-June is mobula ray season, summer is all about dolphins! Maybe also Orcas and Whales! We have a shallow reef with sealions for nervous swimmers which can be as stunning as the megafauna! Well.. almost! We provide a picnic before heading in to shore. We arrive back in Cabo around 4pm. This activity is GREAT for kids 5 years + and anyone else with a sense of adventure who is comfortable in snorkeling gear. Passengers will need to prepare to get wet at least once (and climb a basic ladder) as there is no bathroom onboard. The boat is equipped with life jackets, first aid, shade and seating - and an expert local captain! Guides are rescue diver qualified as a minimum.

5.00My friend & I took the La Ventana/Cerralvo Island Mobula Snorkel trip. Cabo Private Guide took care of everything, from pick up to drop off. The trip itself was amazing, we started the morning with breakfast during our trip to the boat. Once aboard Maruja and Martin skillfully helped guide us into the water to observe the mobula ray migration. It was such a lovely experience. I really appreciated the way they encouraged us to observe respectfully & take turns with other tours so as not to overwhelm the wildlife. Our boat captain, David, was also very knowledgeable and amazingly helpful. After several turns with the mobulas and some dolphin spotting, we head to La Reyna to swim a reef inhabited by sea lions as well as tons of beautiful fish. Again Mari & Martin were very attentive of our group, keeping us all together while pointing out wildlife and helping us be respectful of their space. The afternoon wrapped up with a delicious civeché lunch on a very interesting beach. Full & tired, we returned by boat to our patient & attentive driver Marco, to be carried back to reality but not before a final stop for some goodies at an organic market. I would absolutely recommend this tour, these guides and Cabo Private Guide and I will be enjoying other experiences with them :)

5.00I went on the Espiritu Santo Island Tour and had an amazing time. They were patient, very informative, and have a keen eye for spotting sea life. My charter had a bus driver and boat captain who were prompt and nice. Our guides were Mari and Martin who made sure we were comfortable and well feed. We swam with a large school of Mobula rays in the bay. Then we went to La Reina to swim with the sea lions. We saw a ton of fish, an octopus, and a reef so healthy you could hear the clicky clacks. 10/10 recommend. Everyone at the office has been very helpful throughout the whole process.

5.00Amazing tour! We saw rays, dolphins, sea lions and blue whales! Highly recommend for anyone who loves the ocean and its creatures! Morgane was an excellent guide and we were well cared for by her and the captain. Don’t miss this experience!

5.00The tour was amazing. I wish the visibility was better so the video of the rays would have been clearer but that isn't anyone's fault. Ben was our dive master over 3 days and he was amazing. Our favorite trip was to Cabo Pulmo. It was out of this world and Ben's knowledge of the area and the marine life was top notch. I would do it again in a heart beat.

5.00Amazing day with Javier and Xo! My wife and I were very pleased with this experience! We were very lucky with amazing conditions and almost immediately spotting a large group of Mobula Rays. We dropped in the water and snorkeled with them for quite a bit of time. Xo was very animated and helpful! On our way to the scuba sight we had a pod of dolphins following the boat. Then I did 2 dives with Javier. I’m a beginner diver and he made me very confident and comfortable! We saw tons of marine life including a plethora of fish, lobsters, eels and rays. Such a great experience. These guys are the best! So helpful and informative. Javier is a marine biologist and he educated us all about the marine life. So fun!

5.00We did a mobula ray safari + 2 tank dive with Cabo Private Guide in early June and had a great time! Everyone was nice & easy to communicate with. We found mobula rays (a lot of them :D) pretty early on in the morning and they worked hard to make sure we were able to swim with them. Our guide Diego especially went out of his way to drag some of us that were slower swimmers lol to catch up with the group - we really appreciated that!!! The dives were also fun and chill - they were good guides and paid a lot of attention to how we are doing throughout the dives. I got really sea sick on the boat and they really tried their best to take care of me on that as well. Overall i really like how they structured their packages and day so we can try to do and see it all - its a day well spent and we highly recommend trips with them!

5.00My wife and I have been on many dives all over the world. Today’s experience with Cabo Private Guide, specifically Morgane and Xo, was amazing. These were by far the most attentive dive masters we’ve had. They paid attention to the big things, but did all the little things, including double checking the oxygen levels in the tanks in front of us, assembling our gear, checking levels on our gear, assisting with putting on and taking off equipment, etc. We started by going to Land’s End and The Arch. Since it was early, we had it to ourselves, which I hadn’t seen before. It was beautiful. Then we went to look for Mobula Rays, spotting a group of 10, so we got in the water to snorkel. Then we did 2 dives and saw so much wildlife, more than we had seen in years. We saw many large schools of fish, a lot of tropical fish, octopus, tuna, starfish, puffer fish, etc., etc. The whole time we were diving they constantly kept an eye on us to make sure we were ok. Before, between and after the dives, they were a lot of fun. From now on when we dive in Cabo, we are diving with Cabo Private Guide and will be requesting Morgane and Xo.

5.00We did a private mobulas tour at Isla Cerralvo and it was the highlight of our trip! Communication with Cabo Private Guide was superb from planning to pick up to drop off. The tour itself was unlike anything I've experienced. This area of Mexico is pure remote, raw beauty. Mobulas in the thousands gliding gracefully through the sea and launching out of the water doing cutie bellyflops. Diego and Morgane were our guides for the day - so kind, professional, and fun. On top of the mobula fever magic, our captain found us wild dolphins twice, sea lions, and a stunning beach to eat the most delicious ceviche at - even a vegetarian one for me :) Don't sleep on the breakfast burritos en route - the teenage girls in our group won't stop talking about them - and don't sleep on this tour! (Literally. Our sole regret was not taking them up on their offer for a 5am pickup as the least morning person alive.) Thanks so much, Diego, Morgane, and team!

5.00Fantastic Snorkeling Experience with an Amazing Guide! We had the absolute pleasure of snorkeling with Xochil and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we met, she were incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming, instantly putting us at ease. Her patience and professionalism made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable, whether we were first-timers or more experienced snorkelers. Her deep knowledge of the underwater world was impressive she splinted out marine life we would have never noticed on our own and shared fascinating insights about the ecosystem. It was clear she genuinely love what she dos and her passion made the trip even more special. If you’re looking for a snorkeling guide who is not only highly skilled but also genuinely wonderful to be around, Xochil is the perfect choice. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend her to anyone!

5.00I highly highly recommend cabo private guide if you're in town and looking to dive or snorkel! This is a 5* top tier dive operator, with enthusiastic and professional staffs from reservations (Chloe) to dive guides (David)!! Chloe was always patient in answering our endless questions about our booking, while David was always making sure we were comfortable and safe in the waters and also pointing out marine life that we would have otherwise missed!! We did the summer mobula ray package with 2 days of diving at the corridor and cabo pulmo national park and 1 day of snorkeling with mobula rays at la ventana. We had such an amazing time seeing large schools of fishes while diving but the highlight was definitely snorkeling with a large school of mobula rays! We definitely lucked out with the wildlife but there's no going wrong with this operator as they will do their best to make your experience an amazing one! Tours are also conducted in very small groups (2-4 people) and are therefore very personal!
