La Ventana is a renowned hub for marine wildlife observation, especially mobula rays, orcas and many more cetaceans. Positioned in the Sea of Cortez, Cerralvo Island, also known as Jacques Cousteau Island, sits between two deep canyons, making it a hotspot for various marine species.

Our tour prioritizes animal welfare, ensuring gentle interactions with creatures that show interest. The captain, a local ex-fisherman, stays in touch with other captains and fishermen for real-time updates on wildlife sightings.

If luck isn't on our side, we'll explore pristine snorkeling spots instead, waiting for tips from other captains. Led by a marine biologist guide, you'll receive informative commentary and assistance during snorkeling activities, enriching your marine experience.

We had an incredible 2-day ocean safari with Hamza as our guide! He was extremely organized, knowledgeable about marine life, and always quick to respond to questions. Each day, we spent around 7-9 hours at sea, and Hamza led us to amazing encounters with mobulas, mantas, dolphins, humpback whales, silky sharks, and sea lions. The biodiversity here is incredible—every day brought new surprises! What made it even better was the amount of time we got to spend swimming alongside these magnificent creatures. Highly recommend this experience for any ocean lover!

We spent three incredible days on the Mobulas Safari and Wildlife tour with Hamza, and it was easily the most memorable part of our time in La Ventana. Our group of eight came with high expectations and they were exceeded on every front. Hamza, our guide and a marine biologist, brought so much depth to the experience. His knowledge, passion, and respect for marine life were evident in every moment, from our pre-dive briefings to his excitement spotting wildlife alongside us. Over the three days, we swam with massive schools of mobula rays, watched dolphins play at the bow, and even spotted mobula mobular — each day felt like a new adventure. The underwater encounters were breathtaking, and Hamza always made sure we were safe, comfortable, and aware of how to engage respectfully with nature.

The experience was amazing, fabulous. We saw tons of Mobulos, dolphins, sea lions and whale. Hamza is so nice!!! I can't swim but he was so caring and encouraged me to swim and played with mobulos and fish. This trip you can't miss if you travel to la Paz or la venetena

We saw many things on this boat safari and our guide gave us a lot of information about the surroundings and was very nice. I highly recommend booking this trip!!

Fabulous trip. Hosts were very accommodating and flexible to what we wanted to do. Knowledgeable too, a great day out. Lunch was delicious, bring towels and a warm hoodie for warming up after going in the water

A wonderful excursion not to be missed!! We saw silver fish, mackerel, rooster fish, sea lions, and more... The best was to snorkel and see the dolphins swim by.. Captain, Seth, Hamza (the marine biologist) were terrific and so helpful! They provided food snacks and a delicious lunch of homemade ceviche and fresh fruit!! I cannot recommend enough!! Thank you for a very memorable trip and thank you for turning around and grabbing that garbage- you clearly care about our Mother Nature!!

We had the best trip! Hamza, Said, and the captain were a pleasure…so incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and fun! The ceviche was Muy deliciouso! We saw rays and swam with dolphins🐬. I cannot recommend these people and this adventure enough!

What an amazing boat day ! We had the chance to see dolphins & whales, swam with big group of rays (definitely one of a lifetime experience) and snorkeled to a beautiful and well preserved corral reef. Then we could chill on a dreamy beach with a nice ceviche (vegan option too!). Everything was magical — would definitely do it again Thanks again Hamza for your kindness and professionalism, 1000/10 recommend ✨

Amazing trip! We saw many marine animals, including mobulas, sea birds, turtles, and even a grey whale! Hamza was also knowledgable and entertaining, and we thoroughly enjoyed his company.

Being able to see blue whales, turtles, and sea lions was amazing. There was a juvenile blue whale that was playing in the water, splashing with his fins and rolling around in the water. Some on the tour also went swimming, snorkeling around some reefs. Snorkeling gear was provided on the boat to use. Enjoyed this tour and we were able to get close to some blue whales, watching a juvenile whale playing in the water. We also had a delicious ceviche lunch on an isolated beautiful beach.. it was fun to be the only ones in this beach for lunch. Please note this tour can be on rougher waters. Communication before the tour was easy and being picked up from the hotel in La Paz was helpful.
