This less-traveled area of Snowdonia offers rugged landscapes, fascinating industrial history, and breathtaking views—a true adventure for lovers of the outdoors. From the charming village of Croesor, we embark on a circular route that showcases the best of the Moelwyns. Expect quiet trails, dramatic mountain scenery, and captivating tales of the area's slate-mining past. Highlights of the Day: Cwm Croesor: Begin the day walking through this peaceful valley, surrounded by lush greenery and the remnants of the slate industry. Moelwyn Mawr (770m): You’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of Snowdon and Cadair Idris. Moelwyn Bach (720m): Continue to this slightly smaller peak, with its rugged terrain and commanding views over Llyn Stwlan and the surrounding mountains. This guided hike is ideal for those with a moderate level of fitness who want to explore Snowdonia's quieter corners. The terrain is varied, including rocky paths, grassy slopes, and occasional boggy sections, offering a rewarding challenge for adventurous hikers.
