Visit Maui’s famous snorkeling and diving destinations Molokini Crater and Turtle Town (or Coral Gardens) on a snorkeling catamaran! Molokini is an extinct volcanic cone and the snorkeling visibility is usually 100 feet or more! Many different species of marine life live within Molokini. Green sea turtles, fish, urchins, harmless sharks, manta rays and coral surrounded by crystal clear water all year around make Molokini a must do on your vacation activity list. This boat tour is on all tourist must see lists, and it's one of Maui's favorite activities. This is also one of Maui's most family-friendly activities.

Join us on our awesome Molokini and Turtle Town snorkeling adventure aboard Malolo. Malolo is a 55 foot comfortable, stable catamaran. She is equipped with easy access stairways into the water on both the front and rear of the boat. There are also 2 restrooms, trampolines to lay out on and a friendly, experienced captain and crew. A continental breakfast and deli lunch are both included as is all your top-notch snorkeling gear. We also have flotation devices such as foam noodles, body boards and float vests for your use. Optional wetsuits and high quality 16 mega pixel Olympus underwater digital cameras are available to rent.

5.00This team did a fantastic job and exceeded any and all expectations. They were attentive, the food and drinks were fantastic which is saying a lot as we are vegetarians! Finally, they give you ample time to snorkel- we saw amazing fish, turtles, and octopus and eels. To top it off, they stopped the boat to see the whales breaching even though this was a snorkel tour. Great job everyone!

5.00Went for an outer island solo trip to Maui and on Feb 18th ‘26 @6:30am did the Molokini and turtle cove snorkeling tour!! The boat was big enough so it wasn’t crowded, the food/ coffee was good! And the staff are so helpful and friendly. The length of the trip was perfect enough for both places! Definitely worth it!! The female photographer was extremely nice she kept trying to cut me a deal to buy pictures and kept lowering the price for me! But I was on a budget and so I paid $40 for a single picture and she still gave me 2 pictures which made me so HAPPY!! I appreciate that so much!! Also the captain gave us a little extra and gave us some whale watching! Definitely will book again!!

5.00This was the best experience we had in Hawaii! The snorkeling was beautiful. We had all levels of snorkeling knowledge. And even those that have never snorkeled before were successful. The crew was encouraging and very knowledgeable to make this happen. The captain had great information to share on our way out to the snorkeling. And he actually stopped so that we could see the baby whales with the mom whale. The food was delicious and healthy! Fruit, fresh veggies and hummus, sandwiches, and cookies too. The captain was great at providing us with the smoothest ride through rough waters at times and no one on the boat was sick because of his expertise. Their safety instructions were amazing too make sure we were all safe. It was just an all-around wonderful experience! The photos taken were worth every penny. Ashley, Kaitlyn, Boz and Carlos, the captain, were amazing.

5.00Staff was awesome. The trip was fun. Snorkeling was great. Got to see some fish and turtles and a little bit of the whales. It was a great day.
Not recommended by me. I felt getting on the boat was told to hurry tried to nothing to hold on to fell hard

1.00As I was getting on the boat the man loading the boat said to hurry hurry hurry I tried to hurry there was nothing to hold on to and I fell. I'm still hurting so the trip was horrible for me and still is I've never gotten on a snorkel boat without someone reaching out of hand or something to hold on to therefore for me it sucked and I've been coming to the islands for well over 40 years and have been snorkeling many many times I have never fell not once. I would recommend you be careful.

5.00Great time snorkeling at Molokini Crater and Turtle Town. Saw lots of fish in the crater and turtle unexpectedly swam right under my husband at Turtle Town. The captain stopped several times on our way back so we could admire the whales. Watched a mom, baby and escort playing too!

5.00Great day - worth the early morning start. Crew was fabulous and considerate of different skill levels. We had a great time. Saw several turtles and a school of parrotfish. And there were humpback whale sightings too as the boat changed locations. Enjoyed the food. Would do this trip again. Only tip - be sure to get the full PDF ticket for all the details you need. Eticket on phone is missing key info.
Disappointing Crew Service Overshadowed an Otherwise Decent Snorkeling Experience – 2/5 Stars

2.00We took this 5-hour snorkeling catamaran excursion today with my two teenage daughters, and while the actual snorkeling was enjoyable, the overall experience fell short due to poor crew attitude and service. The positives: The two snorkel stops were good, we saw plenty of colorful fish and a few sea turtles, which my daughters loved. The locations offered clear water and interesting marine life, so that part lived up to expectations. The downsides: Unfortunately, the crew seemed unhappy and disengaged throughout the trip. The older gentleman handling lunch setup and check-in was particularly short-tempered with guests. For example, the tour is advertised as including tea, water, and sodas. However, when passengers (including families with kids) asked for non-alcoholic drinks like water or soda well before lunch, he repeatedly snapped, “The bar is not open.” When I clarified that we just needed water for my teen daughter (not alcohol), he replied, “Yeah, that’s the bar and it’s not open until after lunch”—which was after both snorkel stops, about 3.5 hours into the trip. Many guests ended up going without basic refreshments for a long stretch; if you're prone to needing hydration or a quick drink, definitely bring your own water. Another letdown: Unlike every other catamaran/snorkel charter we've done (several in the Caribbean and Hawaii), there was no guide in the water with the group to point out marine life or ensure everyone was comfortable/safe. One crew member floated on a surfboard at a distance, and another stayed on the boat issuing commands, but no one actively guided or enhanced the snorkeling experience. Finally, at the end, they made a point over the speaker to announce that a minimum $10 tip per guest was "customary" and "expected," passing around folios for tips. While tipping is appreciated for good service, it felt pushy given the lack of attentiveness and friendliness during the trip. In summary, if you're mainly after the snorkel spots and don't mind bringing your own drinks or going without much interaction/guidance, it might be okay. But for the price and what’s typically expected on these excursions (friendly crew, basic refreshments available, in-water guidance), this one didn't deliver. We won't be repeating with this operator.
