Next stop, Turtle Town, where you'll encounter Hawaii's magnificent green sea turtles (Honu) alongside reef triggerfish, butterfly fish, octopus, and other captivating marine life. Every trip is unique, guaranteeing a one-of-a-kind adventure for you and your loved ones. Keep an eye out for the rare Hawaiian monk seals. On the way to your snorkeling spot, our crew prepares and adjusts your gear, making sure it fits correctly, and you are comfortable. We also offer floatation devices to enhance your swimming. If weather conditions at Molokini Crater are unpermitting, we will go to alternative snorkeling spots.

5.00Makena Coast Charters is a well-oiled machine. Matt and first officer Lucia were too notch, snorkel sites Molokini Crater and Turtle Town were better than advertised. Plenty of snakes and drinks on board.
Awesome views. Awesome snorkeling. Awesome crew.

5.00Waves were choppier than expected and visibility was bad at Molokini. It wasn’t safe. Captain Matt found us a little spot after some searching and it was awesome. Water was warm, clear, and full of life. No one on the boat was disappointed and I’m thankful Matt took the extra time to find that perfect spot. 10/10 would go again.

5.00Definitely 5 stars! We had such an amazing morning on this snorkeling trip. Swimming in Turtle Town with so many turtles was unforgettable. We saw around 7 turtles just hanging out on the reef and swimming right alongside us. Some of them were huge. It was such a special experience. Molokini Crater was absolutely stunning. The water was so crystal, and there were beautiful fish everywhere and saw 1 eel. The coral looked healthy. We didn’t get to see any rays or baby sharks this time. The boat ride itself was so much fun, and we even got lucky on the way back with some Dolphin watching right next to our boat. Captain Matt and mate Lucia were fantastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel safe and comfortable the entire time. After snorkeling, snacks, drinks and sandwiches were provided, which was a nice bonus. 3 hours was perfect. Definitely worth the expense. Highly recommend. Book this trip, you won’t regret it!

5.00Wonderful nice crew. Captain Matt was funny and Lucia was very nice. They seemed experienced and all went smoothly. Snacks and sandwiches were great fuels as we didn’t have time to grab a bite for our 6:30am roll call :)) Very much enjoyed it

5.00Fabulous snorkeling trip to Molokini. Cpt. Matt and mate Kyle were great! Lots of great info, and constant attention to safety, comfort, and aloha spirit! Crater was vibrant with assorted fish, and coral looked healthy. A family also on our trip reported seeing an octopus, but we did not. After Molokini, we ran around the back of the crate, then to Turtle Town. Spied a Humback crossing the channel back to Maui, and a few Dolphin. Turtle Town is aptly named, as we saw at leat 8 or 10 just hanging on the reef and swimming alongside as we snorkeled. Outstanding trip!! Book this one - you won't be disappointed!!

5.00Kyle, Alex, and Michelle did a great job getting us to some amazing snorkeling spots! Saw plenty of turtles in turtle town and so many beautiful fish at Molokini Crater! Because we had a smaller group (there was 10 instead of 19) we were also able to go to the bad side of the crater where water was 400’ deep. A very different look under water! They knew the best spots. I have never seen so many fish and so many different kinds of fish. We did the 3 hr tour and it was the perfect amount of time. Trip included water, sodas, and sandwiches. Such a great experience for our first time in Maui!
