  During my stay in Iquitos, I chose this tour to go on. So glad I did! My tour guide was excellent and very informative. The trip took most of the day which I expected. It was exciting, relaxing, and very much one of the highlights of my trip. We went to Monkey Island, a wildlife reserve, spent time with the Yahua tribe, saw an huge old tree, and had a wonderful lunch! The trip down the Amazon river was amazing.   We traveled to Iquitos for 5 days and with the agency of Iquitos Experience Tours we managed everything related to the trip (transfers, lodging, tours) and the experience was great, they are super responsible and punctual, their guides are super attentive, the means of transport are according to what is offered, I would definitely visit Iquitos again and I would do it hand in hand with Iquitos Experience Tours, 100% recommended!!! I want to make a special mention of Nicoll who was our guide most of the days, she is a super attentive girl and the best photographer!!!

  The tour started in the city of Iquitos, where we visited the local market and tasted suri, a typical larva of the Amazon that many mistake for a worm, but which is not really. Thanks to the explanation we received, we were encouraged to taste it and it was a cultural experience. Throughout the tour we met several wonderful places in the low forest, always accompanied by our guide, who was very patient and attentive. It gave us the opportunity to ask everything that made us curious, explaining clearly and transmitting his great knowledge about the flora, fauna and indigenous communities we visited. The experience was really enriching. One night we went out hiking in the jungle and we could see different animals in their natural habitat. Another time we sailed by boat under the darkness, listening to the sounds of the jungle and observing nocturnal species. Our guide was key: a true “capo”, with a breathtaking view to spot animals and explanations that made every moment even more special. We were also lucky enough to witness an Amazonian sunrise on the majestic Amazon River and an unforgettable sunset from the viewpoint of the village Barrio Florido. Another unique moment was to enjoy a lunch on board as we gazed at the Amazon in all its glory. In addition, we visited Monkey Island, where they explained the importance of conserving and protecting this species, which added a valuable environmental awareness component to the trip. In short, I highly recommend living this experience: it is a perfect combination of adventure, learning and direct contact with nature and Amazonian culture.   Wonderful experience with the team of Iquitos Experience Tours, punctuality, interesting information, beautiful places and good photos, grateful to the guides Gabriel and Nicolle, are the most!
