  This was a great tour for a solo foodie traveler. Lucas is a phenomenal guide and made the tour feel as if we were a group of friends catching up and exploring/eating our way through Jean-Talón market and Little Italy. The food was a great mix of sweet and savory with about 8 stops/samplings. It was enough food to feel full but not overly stuffed. The hosts at each stop were welcoming. Lucas was knowledgeable, very personable, and engaging. I would book Lucas for a private tour and am interested in the Mile End tour as well. The stops were also a great mix of indoor and outdoor tour time on a cold winter day in December where the feels like was 1 degree F. I dressed warmly and never felt uncomfortably cold or freezing. The stops were nice and clean as well. 10/10 would recommend and do it again.

  Very friendly and knowledgeable guide (Darren) made 3 hours go very fast. Recommended for first timers and those who just like good food

  Delightful food tour. The food was delicious and the conversation was stimulating. Eric was a great tour guide whose knowledge is amazing and very friendly.

  Simon was a very great communicator, though he did tend to enthusiastically overshare about his life as we walked. Was extremely impressed by how flexible he was with us - we arrived late due to hotel issues and he had no problem changing things up for us on the fly! He truly knows how to improvise and go with the flow. He had lots of facts memorized about the local food scene, and brought cheerful, easygoing vibes. Again, we wish he would have focused less on talking about himself and more on storytelling with the food and areas, and on professionalism.

  Hi, I’m writing to share some serious concerns about the food tour I attended on November 30th. The most concerning issue was the guide’s handling of gratuities. She mentioned tipping to the group, which is fine, but she then lingered and stared at us, then directly asked me how much I intended to tip. When I said I planned to use the app later as I didn’t have cash, she tried to pressure me to tip immediately using her own device and an app I don’t have. After we left, she even sent me a message requesting a tip again. This felt very pressured and inappropriate, especially since gratuities are normally voluntary and based on the quality of service. This goes far beyond a normal reminder and felt unprofessional, uncomfortable, and entirely inappropriate. Gratuities should never involve direct pressure, repeated requests, or follow-up messages. The tour was also significantly overbooked. The group was too large for many of the small businesses we visited, leaving several participants without space to sit or fully participate. At multiple stops, it felt like we were crowding regular patrons, which impacted the quality of the experience and often we couldn’t hear the guide due to the group size. The guide also didn't arrive until right at 11am so it created some confusion for guests who arrived 15 minutes early as requested about if we were in the right spot, or if the tour was cancelled. We met at a deli that we went into but didn’t eat at so we all felt bad for the business owner for waiting inside but not patronizing. This didn’t feel good. To make matters worse, the guide didn’t seem knowledgeable about the foods we did eat and provided little to no history or info about what we were doing/eating. I’m sharing this feedback because these issues had a real effect on the tour and do not reflect the standard I hoped and expected. I hope this will be addressed to ensure a better experience for future guests. Thank you

  Highly recommend this tour-Youlia was an excellent guide, taking us to all the places that make Montreal a foodie destination! Got a taste of Montreal’s famous bagels, poutine, and the smoked meat-yum!

  Eric was great and very knowledgeable about the food scene in the area! He provided lots of fun tips and personal experiences that made the trip very enjoyable! Would highly recommend for anyone looking to explore the area.

  Fantastic host eric. Totally worth the money. Was a great time. Pace yourself because you will get full quickly.
