If you really want to get to know Barcelona and Catalonia, a visit to Montserrat is a must. This day tour combines a visit to this magical site with a wonderful food and wine experience. Ride a cogwheel train to the top of Montserrat Mountain while admiring its spectacular views. Explore a winery set in a 10th-century castle owned by the same family for 36 generations. Tasting top-quality wines and enjoying local gastronomy will be highlights of your trip.

Tours start at 9:45 a.m. Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time because check-in is required at our office before proceeding to the buses area.
Groups are limited to 20 people per guide, though in rare cases may increase to 22. Transportation is shared with other groups.
Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended. Montserrat and the winery may have more extreme temperatures than Barcelona—check the forecast and dress accordingly. Bring water, especially in summer.
The tour is not wheelchair accessible, but service animals are allowed. For reduced mobility, contact us before booking to discuss arrangements.
Infants (3 years or younger) join free of charge but are not provided with car seats or meals.
Dietary restrictions or allergies are accommodated without advance notice.
We often work with boutique, family-owned wineries. Due to logistics, the winery may vary from Oller del Mas.
Tour timings are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events. We recommend avoiding scheduling other activities immediately after the tour to allow for potential delays.
We follow all health and safety guidelines issued by authorities to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

5.00Lina was an amazing tour guide. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would! She was very knowledgeable, funny, and kind. I learned so much from her about the Catalan region and history. Montserrat and the winery were both very special places and Lena made the entire experience one to remember! Great tour company!

5.00Well organized. Guide gave a very good history info on the way up to the monastery. Train ride was interesting going up the mountain. Note first bus audio system was very good, hard to understand on the second bus. Need to have a good audio system on guide tour buses.

5.00Yerai was our guide and he was wonderful. Very knowledgeable personal and attentive to our food allergies needs. We learned about the history of Catalonia on our bus ride to the train. We learned about the history of Montserrat while walking the grounds. We learned learned about the Black Madonna. Yerai is also very knowledgeable about wine. The wine tasting was in nice setting, the tapas were good and wine was pleasant.

5.00Yerai was a wonderful tour guide. He was patient, kind and informative. We learned about the history of Catalonia and the history of Montserrat. Yerai is also very knowledgeable about wine. Montserrat is a must see, absolutely gorgeous setting n the mountains with a fascinating history.

The tour itself was great, but Montserrat is such a special place that you really need more time there to explore, wander, and take it all in. 5.00Our Montserrat and wine tour was absolutely breathtaking! The drive up the mountain was scenic, and our tour guide, Lina, was both knowledgeable and full of great humor—we all loved her energy. She shared fascinating details about the monastery and the vineyard, making every stop feel special. At the vineyard, Lina’s passion for wine really shone through. She explained the winemaking process with enthusiasm and made the tasting experience engaging and fun. Beyond being an excellent guide, Lina was incredibly thoughtful. We were in Barcelona celebrating my sister’s birthday, and towards the end of the tasting, she surprised us with a “cake” made out of wine bottle corks, complete with candles, and sang happy birthday! It was such a memorable and heartfelt moment. I would highly recommend this tour—and especially Lina—to anyone visiting Barcelona. It was the perfect mix of stunning scenery, culture, and personal touches that made the day unforgettable.
