Enjoy a relaxing, scenic getaway from bustling Barcelona on this small-group tour to Montserrat, a beautiful nearby mountain. Here, visit the Montserrat Monastery and, if option selected, a boutique historic winery. Set within a 10th century castle, tour the vineyards and head to the wine cellar to learn about wine production and taste three exquisite wines and a local tapas lunch.

Upgrade your day with exclusive access to the winery's private barrel cellar, normally closed to the public. Tours start at 8:30 a.m. or 9:45 a.m. (depending on the season). Please arrive 20 minutes before the start time because check-in is required at our office before proceeding to the buses area.
Groups are limited to 20 people per guide, though in rare cases may increase to 22. Transportation is shared with other groups.
Comfortable clothes and walking shoes are recommended. Montserrat and the winery may have more extreme temperatures than Barcelona—check the forecast and dress accordingly. Bring water, especially in summer.
The tour is not wheelchair accessible, but service animals are allowed. For reduced mobility, contact us before booking to discuss arrangements.
Infants (3 years or younger) join free of charge but are not provided with car seats or meals.
Dietary restrictions or allergies are accommodated without advance notice.
We often work with boutique, family-owned wineries. Due to logistics, the winery may vary from Oller del Mas.
Tour timings are approximate and may vary due to traffic, weather, or unforeseen events. We recommend avoiding scheduling other activities immediately after the tour to allow for potential delays.
We follow all health and safety guidelines issued by authorities to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.

Once in Barcelona Nord Bus Station, check-in at our Castlexperience office. Arrive 20 minutes before the tour starts to check in before proceeding to the buses on the ground floor.

5.00This tour was a wonderful experience. Our tour guide, Lorena, did an amazing job providing the history of Montserrat and the winery. Time went by too quickly to get in all our shopping. Will definitely try to visit again. The wines were go but I think adding 1 or 2 more would have been a better option. We did the VIP tour and found it fun and enjoyable. All in all we got our money’s worth.

2.00The 9:45-3:30 tour turned out to be: 9:30-10:00 waiting to depart 10:50 arriving at tram station 11:10 arriving at Montserrat tram station 11:10-11:55 waiting, logistics, some wiki level intro to Montserrat 12:00-14:00 free time 14:00-14:20 visit the monastery 14:30-16:30 bus transportation back to meeting point The 5.75-hour tour, in short, had half of its time travelling. 2-hour free time is far from enough for flea market, lunch, souvenir shop, tram, hike to the cross, museum, and photo taking. The tour guides are always rushing, pushing and gourding us to move, but it’s not their fault. It’s the design of the whole itinerary that needs to be changed. 20 minutes allocated to monastery visit is nonsense. It would be a 1-star without the scenery and hard work from the tour guides. I’d recommend everyone to go on your own, driving or public transport. You go to Montserrat to relax, not to be rushed.

5.00We had a wonderful day in Montserrat and the wine tasting. We had a lovely, sunny day… a little windy which made it feel chiller than expected… but all in all it was a really great day. Judit and Carlos were great guides, great story tellers, and made the experience that much more fun.

5.00It was awe inspiring to see Montserrat! The tapas and winery were fun and delicious. It should not be advertised as a half day tour, though. We left at 9 and returned at 4!! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. There should have been less people in each group.

5.00Led by our tour guide, Yerai, our trip to Montserrat was absolutely wonderful. He has extensive knowledge of the history of the region and made the trip come alive with interesting background information and humor. In addition, he also has incredible knowledge about wine and viticulture. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed our day.
