Puerto Rico is hot so wear light clothing and bring water to stay hydrated, although we do provide water at all our stops.
Tour runs rain or shine!
Please plan accordingly (allow extra time for traffic and parking, especially on weekends) and arrive 10 minutes prior to start time. Tour starts promptly. We allow an additional 5 minute grace period after the allotted start time - following that, once the guide has left the meeting location, guests may no longer join the tour. Please note we are on Atlantic Standard Time (AST) and Puerto Rico does not observe Daylight Savings.
Food Allergies, Dietary Restrictions, and/or, Dietary Preferences: Tasting menus developed with our partners are pre-fixed and thus, all changes must be provided well in advance. Please ensure to advise of any allergies, dietary restrictions, and, or, dietary preferences at least 48hours in advance of your experience. We are only able to make substitutions with prior notice. Please note vegan and gluten-free tastings are not available at all stops.
Not recommeneded for travelers with severe mobility issues since this is a walking tour in a colonial city (cobblestones and some uneven sidewalks)

Join our Old San Juan Walk and Taste Tour for a delicious journey through the city’s cobblestone streets. You’ll enjoy five food and drink stops, taste local flavors, sip Puerto Rican rum, and learn about the island’s rich history and culture along the way. Between bites, explore historic sites like a centuries-old convent and take in stunning views of Old San Juan’s forts and architecture. This small-group tour is led by local, bilingual guides who love sharing their city and insider tips. Tours run Monday–Saturday at 9:30AM and Sundays at 10AM. Dietary needs? We’ve got you. 5.00Our guide was Gía, a vivacious and enthusiastic local who taught us some history and culture while introducing us to a wonderful variety of authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. She was very organized so that everything flowed smoothly, despite us being a group of about 15. The time flew by and we found ourselves wishing the experience was longer!

5.00Plenty of great tasting food. Niko was amazing and full of energy. If you are lucky enough to have her as you guide, you’ll be laughing through the whole tour.
You simply have to meet Pablo and let him be your guide on a wonderful journey!

5.00We look for the smaller experiences with fewer than 20 people. We were on a Celebrity Beyond cruise that stopped off in Old San Juan this month. What an amazing tour! Pablo was probably the best guide we have had in all of our world travels. He was so knowledgeable and personable. His humor and history were the perfect combination. We were so enthralled with the tour that we barely took any photos as we were just so in the moment with him. If your cruise offer the small group, food, culture, and cocktails tour with The Spoon Experience, BOOK IT. If they don't, book it directly with Pablo and the gang.

5.00It requires some walking on cobblestone and narrow sidewalks but not very taxing. It's a great easy to learn about the history of the city. The food and drinks were generous and satisfying. Our guide was fun, upbeat and very knowledgeable.

4.00It was a great trip very informational! A lot of walking to have the right shoes on also I️ would’ve wanted more samples from places and less of a meal at each place but it was amazing our tour guide was super nice and helpful ! amazing tour would definitely do it again !
