I used Tilila Travel for our trip to Morocco in September–October 2025. Initially, I was skeptical about the company, but after doing some research, I felt comfortable moving forward. I worked with a tour coordinator named Mohamed, who designed a 12-day private itinerary tailored to our preferences. The tour was just for my wife and me, and we had the same driver, Yassin, throughout the entire journey. His English was sufficient for our needs, and he was reasonably knowledgeable about the sites and culture. His driving was safe and respectful of traffic rules—I never felt uneasy during our travels. Local guides were used in each city, and we were generally satisfied with their performance and insights. On our final day in Marrakesh, a cooking class had been scheduled, but I asked Mohamed for an alternative. He suggested a visit to the Atlas Mountains, which turned out to be a good option for us. The day included optional light hiking and a late lunch by a beautiful river—great food and beautiful scenery combined for a memorable experience. Originally, our tour was set to begin and end in Casablanca. Later, I realized we could save a day and get a better flight deal by ending in Marrakesh instead. Mohamed adjusted the itinerary without hesitation. The overall cost of the tour was reasonable. One important note: be prepared to tip several times a day. In Morocco’s tourism culture, tipping is a sensible part of service providers’ income. I recommend keeping small bills handy at all times. Mohamed made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. He was courteous, attentive, and highly professional. I strongly recommend Tilila Travel.

My husband and I went on this trip last week. It was amazing from start to finish. Being a private tour gives you so much flexibility. We were never rushed. From the minute we were picked up by our fantastic driver Tawfiq at the airport to the moment we were dropped off everything was 5 star. The Riads were so beautiful, the included meals were amazing, the itinerary was so well organised, our tour guides just for us were so fun and knowledgeable too, taking us to places other tours don’t go to. The contact initially with Mohammed was first class. The highlight was the trip to the desert, riding camels and staying in beautiful tents even with our own ensuite. Our driver Tawfiq was so good. He drove safely, our car was always clean, he knew so much about Morocco and had a passion for its people, culture, food and life in general. He made every day fun, an adventure and exciting. My husband and I couldn’t recommend this trip more.

Wow! Service + Experiences+ Tillia Travel in Morocco led by Mohamed & his team were fantastic in every way. 1. Professional personal drivers & guide. Thank you Khaled. 2. Excellent communication helped by our driver who spoke good English. 3. Flexible. We could cut short some days, go somewhere else, just excellent. The thing is, you start off with lots of research & a plan & then when you are actually on the ground things change or at least you’d like them too. Tillia Travel allowed for this, within reason of course. They arranged everything. Airport arrival Airport departure. 12+ days of good to excellent accommodation & comfortable vehicle travel. Thank you 2. Excellent communication

The 12-day tour of Morocco safely completed. Thanks to Yassin, who was a knowledgeable and excellent driver. There was a long distance to be covered during this trip. For someone like me who is fond of photography, the Morocco diverse landscapes really attracted me. The accommodation in elegant Rios was an another unique experience while in Morocco. I would like to particularly thank Mohamed who is the owner of the Tilila travel agency and took extra miles to accommodate my request for a hotel change. Yassin, my wife and I enjoyed your company. Thanks. Wayne

Morocco has been on my bucket list for a long time. I am so happy that Mohamed at Talila helped my dream come true. I wanted a more in depth experience, with local expertise and creature comfort along the way. Mohamed was extremely responsive and helpful. He endured my many questions and handled with the upmost professionalism and courtesy. The accommodation were exceptional, each of them unique. We also had the best driver, Walid, with us for the whole trip. As we went during Ramadan, some things were closed, especially in Meknes, and dinners had to be later than usual. But overall a great trip, very well planned. I would wholeheartedly recommend booking your trip with Talila.

Mohammed from the travel agency and also our driver were both wonderful. The travel agency was very responsive, communicative and accommodating -- allowed us to modify our riads/ hotels to our preferred. Our driver was patient throughout the trip! On the last day, we had to be dropped off in Casablanca the last day (coming from Essaouira) and he made sure everything went smoothly and on time. All in all, would highly recommend Tilila Travel!

Morocco is a country full of surprises. The scenery is beautiful, with so many historic sites to visit. But the most surprising is its people: kind and very sociable. Tilila Travel assigned Khalid as our travel companion, and the experience was fantastic, including the fact that my husband and Khalid became instant buddies. We laughed a lot and learned firsthand about life in Morocco. Khalid also invited us to visit his Mother's home, and we enjoyed the best couscous I had! Mohamed responded to my inquiry from the first day I showed interest in a matter of one hour. The organization of the tour and the hotels, riads, was very good, especially the one in Dades Valley. We would have chosen a short skip in Meknes and a shorter stay in Fes but to stay one more day and night in the desert: it is overwhelmingly beautiful. And perhaps another day to rest at the Beach in Essaouira. The vacation was great, not even a hiccup. We are very happy.

Honestly, not able to pick one favorite experience! Everything was just amazing. Each time, we started by saying "WOW".... My husband and I just came back from a 12-day tour with Tilila Travel and my goodness what a trip it was! It still feels like a dream. From the beginning of the booking to the end, drop off at airport, this trip has truly been a dream come true for the both of us. Without Mohamed and his team (driver, guides, etc.) this would have not been possible. We were able to see everything (which was so much but not too much) as planned and have learned firsthand and up and close so much of Morocco, its history and people, animals, etc. Our driver, Zakariyea, became our GEM of the trip. He made sure to take us around and take us from point A to point B safely and timely daily. He made the long drives so personalable and so much more enjoyable. Mohamed was accessible to us at all times and assisted with any questions and any further help we needed throughout the entire trip. He even came to our Riad to meet us personally in Marrakesh and sent us off with a lovely parting gift. Everyone (including the people at the hotels) made us feel so welcome and special. They went above and beyond to make our journey and stays as comfortable as possible and to our liking a 100% at all times! This trip and experience were above and beyond our expectations. Highly recommend this to everyone who wants to explore Morocco in detail and up close without having to worry about all the planning, booking and transportation of the entire vacation of a lifetime. BIG THANK YOU TO TILILA TRAVEL & TEAM! Suggestions: Bring enough change along the ways for tipping. Especially, for bathroom breaks during all travels. Having your own Toilet paper was a must since not every place had its own. Bring enough $$ for all the amazing things you end up wanting to buy and bring back home!

This tour exceeded all our expectations! We enjoyed every bit of it but most of all, we loved our driver, Yassin. He made us feel comfortable every step of the way and became fast friends with him. We also loved our tour guides in marrakesh and fes who we learned so much from. Every hotel and riad we stayed in was great and things went extremely smoothly. I can’t recommend this tour enough!

When booking, we wanted to ensure we had licensed/vetted drivers, tour guides and operators in Morocco. Mohamed from Tilila served as the liaison for booking our driver, booking hotels and tour guides in the cities. He was diligent in his communications and prompt in his response at all hours. The driver Tilila booked for us was named Mehdi - he was fantastic and the tour guides in the cities were extraordinary (Tahmi - Fes / Mohammed - Marrakech). We altered the itinerary to include a visit to Rabat and Essaouira. In hindsight, if did the trip over, we would eliminate Casablanca entirely by flying into Tangier and flying out of Marrakech. I had read that there isn't much to Casablanca so we went straight to Rabat the first day (for a quick tour and got acclimated the first day). It shortened a long drive through the country to Chefchaouen. If you want a laid-back beach stop with a European vibe, Essaouira was a wonderful stop after a bustling Marrakech. We wished we would have stayed an additional night in Essaouira. It's a short 2.5 hr. drive to Marrakech and you would save a night's stay in Casablanca. Casablanca is a bustling, smoggy center of commerce with not a lot to see comparatively speaking to the rest of the country. Safety: Morocco is one of the safest countries I’ve ever traveled to. It's worth noting that I'm a member of the LGBTQ community and my wife was 23 weeks pregnant at the time of our trip. Food safety: My wife did have to avoid fruits, juices and other foods, but the food was generally healthy and delicious. Getting a private driver in Morocco: If I you’re asking yourself, “Do I need a private driver in Morocco?”, you need a private driver in Morocco. Especially if you’re on a timeline, your stress and mind space are better served by getting in the back seat than trying to navigate very narrow, single-car streets in Fes, the traffic and motorcycle madness of Marrakech, or breaking your brain trying to understanding how to navigate the unspoken rules of the streetlights and roundabouts. Also, the countrysides have much to look at and offer lot of photo opportunities. Our driver Mehdi was fantastic and made the trip. He treated us like we were family and took great care of us. Ask for him by name! Shopping in Morocco: There is shopping everywhere in Morocco, standard goods are beautiful handmade ceramics, world-famous carpets, ornate lamps, woven goods: scarves, jalabas, and tunics, wood carved and hand-crafted metaled goods. It’s the expectation that you bargain, so for those that hate to haggle, you’re going to have to make some mental adjustments. How to negotiate in Moroccan markets: The vendors are going to start with a number at least double of what they’re willing to accept. Ask for half (50% less) that what they originally ask for. Depending on your desire for the item, you can go as low as 30% although you are probably going to get a scoff or snicker. Walking away if they seemed unwilling to come down was the most effective tactic and many would concede or give their lowest/final. For your own sake or unless you enjoy the back and forth, make a policy to only humor one or two rounds of haggling. The prices don’t vary significantly so if there is something that you like, I would recommend that you buy it given that you have negotiated a fair price. The authentic carpets are genuinely unique - each has slight variations so if there is one that you love - BUY IT. There are cooperatives that have relationships with the craftsmen/women and product producers and share profits more fairly. They also ensure that you’re getting the authentic products. Cheap Argan or Moroccan oils sold by street vendors is likely diluted with olive oil, water or something you don't want to consume. Drinking in Morocco: If you’re looking to have an alcoholic bender in Morocco, you’re going to be pressed to find companions to join you outside of the larger cities. There are bars and liquor stores located throughout the country, with the most concentration in Marrakech and that can be found easily by searching “beer near me.” Expect to find a smattering of tourists. There are special events held in the desert camps with DJs and other activities, but most of the population prefers Moroccan and green tea over alcoholic options.
