A beautiful city situated on the banks of the river Neretva, known for the Old Bridge, the city’s landmark built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The major development of the city was done during the 15th and 16th centuries as an Ottoman frontier town, and also during the Austro-Hungarian period, which can be evidenced in its architecture. As you stroll around the city, you will discover one of the oldest bazaars of Mostar, the Kujundžiluk, dating back to the 16th century, which bustles joyously with trinket sellers, scenic streets, busy restaurants, and crowded cafes that portray the local atmosphere.
