Join us on this 4-hour fjord cruise to the scenic Osterfjord and Mostraumen Channel. Experience the once-in-a-lifetime thrill of traveling through the majestic Norwegian fjords on a scenic boat tour departing from Bergen.

On board the high speed catamaran you will experience the magnificent landscape in Bergen's nearby fjords and the Nordhordland region. When sailing out from Bergen's inner harbor you will have a great view to some of the oldest and most relevant historical sites in the city, including the medieval fortress Bergenhus, St Mary's Church and the colorful Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf, which is on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.

From there, we sail through beautiful Western-Norwegian scenery in the Cityfjord, Salhusfjord and Osterfjord towards the dramatic Mostraumen Channel. The captain safely steers the boat through narrow sounds, a maze of islands, deep fjords and beautiful waterfalls. Daily departures from Dreggekaien Pier in the city centre all year.

This tour will go in rain or shine. In the winter months, it can happen that the sea freezes in the innermost part of the fjord where there is a lot of fresh water mixed with the sea water, brackish water. If there is so much ice that there is no safe passage for boats, the captain will then choose an alternative route in this area. This is beyond our control and it does not give grounds for claiming a refund for the trip. We will always do our best to give our customers great experiences, even on days when the forces of nature are not easy to handle.

Osterfjorden is a fjord in Vestland county. The fjord is one of three fjords surrounding the island of Osterøy. The fjord runs along the municipal border of Lindås and Osterøy municipalities. The fjord begins at the Romarheimsfjorden and flows to the west for 27 kilometres (17 mi) before ending near the village of Knarvik at the confluence of four fjords: Osterfjorden, Radfjorden (to the north), Sørfjorden (to the south), and Salhusfjorden (to the west). The Osterfjorden is generally about 1 to 3 kilometres (0.62 to 1.86 mi) wide and the deepest point in the fjord reaches a depth of 639 metres (2,096 ft) below sea level

Canalized river with tidal water deep into the Osterfjord. The stream is about 600 metres long and between 50 and 60 meters wide at the most narrow place. Mostraumen was canalized (dredged) about 1913.

Easy to book. Easy to find ship boarding. It was right across from hotel in Bergen. Boat and concessions spotless. Beautiful views with waterfalls.

A 2-hr trip up a picturesque fjord with best, most interesting sights at the 1/2-way point at the end of the fjord. Then boat turns around and goes by same route back to Bergen. On a nice day, a lovely boat ride. On A rainy, cold day, expect to spend the majority in the cabin. Get to the boat early to get a seat inside Next to a window.

Great experience. Would give a five but communication isn’t good and nothing about where to park which resulted in us getting a parking ticket. We received a message telling us to be there at 9 instead of 10:30 due to mechanical issues. No problem, except when we arrived no one was there to explain soothing. Several other people showed up with same message. We were walking to boats pulling up to see if it was ours but it wasn’t. Once the girl arrived things ran smooth, but you’re hosting people from everywhere, communication is essential to ensure a wonderful experience and five star review. Now if I can just get my ticket taken care of

Excellent fjord experience. Short and well managed. Do not miss it when in Bergen. Take it in the morning then after lunch explore Bergen

I would not say this was a very exciting nor entertaining cruise. Most of the view was of rolling countyside, although pretty, not particularly unique nor interesting. There was some recorded, sporadic audio but nothing educational. After at least 1.5 hrs, we arrived at the rock walls with a waterfall, did a u-turn and headed back. The next day we drove to Oslo. That scenery was much more impressive! We felt like the cruise was a waste of 3+ hours of our vacation time in Bergan. The ship was clean and comfortable; a pleasant ride if you don't have anything better to do.
