Mount Agung is Bali’s highest and holiest mountain as it is believed as the home of God. It is located in Karangasem Regency, Bali, Indonesia. Mount Agung Bali stands 3,142 meters above sea level and can be summitted by physically fit hikers about 3 to 4 hours from Pasar Agung Temple starting point and 5 to 7 hours from Besakih Temple starting point. Mount Agung
Mount Agung is the highest peak in Bali, standing at over 3,000 meters (9,800 feet) above sea level. The trek is physically demanding and requires a good level of fitness. It's steeper and more difficult than Mount Batur, requiring stamina and determination to reach the summit. Climbing Mount Agung usually requires a permit, and it's recommended to go with a local guide for safety and navigation, as the trail can be challenging to follow, especially in the dark. Guides are also knowledgeable about the mountain and its cultural significance. From the summit, trekkers are rewarded with panoramic views of Bali and the surrounding islands, including Mount Rinjani on Lombok, on clear days. The sight of the crater and the surrounding landscape is awe-inspiring and makes the challenging ascent worthwhile.

5.00Me and my friend had a great time with MADE as our guide. Walking through the rice fields gave us a nice insight into local life, village traditions and the beautiful nature. We ended the tour with tea and a chocolate roll while enjoying the beautiful views. We would have loved to do another hike, but we’ll happily save that for next time. 🌾

5.00The best time to climb the mountain is before sunrise, so be careful as the lights are dim and the wind at the top is very cold. Make sure to bring a scarf, or be prepared for the chill. They sell hot drinks and blankets, and you'll be envious when you see them.

5.00Our guide, Nyoman, was extremely helpful and supportive throughout the entire trek! The view from the top was stunning and made the hike worthwhile. The rice fields and swing were great, and the waterfall was decent too. Our driver, Kelan, and his friend Ayu were very helpful and accommodating.

5.00It was a fantastic experience! Our mountain guide was very attentive and assisted us multiple times. He also stopped whenever we needed a break and took amazing photos of us. This is an experience I will definitely never forget!

5.00Our mountain guide was hospitable and communicated well in English. We had the option to either hike all the way up or ride a dirt bike; we chose to hike. The view was fantastic!

5.00Our driver Ketut is very friendly and a careful driver. He briefs us about the itinerary clearly and always ensuring that are well being are checked. Our guide is also very patient and the hike is well paced for beginner hikers.

5.00Wayan was our guide and he was very kind and caring. He always makes sure that we were okay during the hike. He took many great pictures and videos of us. We really appreciate and also had such a terrific experience hiking Mount Batur. I would definitely recommend this.
