5.00Absolutely breathtaking helicopter exploration of the South Island Alps. Never felt rushed, and the landing on a glaciers a highlight. Greg was a great pilot who kept us informed throughout the flight on geology, history and some fun stories. Once in a lifetime experience - I recommend it.

5.00I took part in this flight from Glentanner as my booked flights from Franz Josef Glacier all had to be cancelled due to weather conditions. This time I had all the luck in the world: a cloudless sky during the whole flight! The helicopter pilot, Richard, gave plenty of explanation en pointed out many things that we certainly would have missed otherwise in that icy world up there around Aoraki/Mt Cook and the glaciers. We made a landing on a side patch of Fox Glacier to really make you aware of the atmosphere and serenity in the icy world of glacier basins. A truly spectacular and awesome experience if you like the high mountains 🏔️.

5.00I had an amazing experience with the 55 min helicopter ride, we had to wait for a while due to bad weather but the staff was helpful and booked us on a later ride on the same day. The landing on the snow was just too good and the pilot even helped us with the photographs.

5.00This helicopter ride was absolutely unforgettable. Flying over snow-covered peaks and vast glaciers was breathtaking, and the views just kept getting better. The glacier landing felt surreal and made the experience even more special. Truly a once in a lifetime adventure. This was the best part of our New Zealand Tour.

5.00This trip was awesome. Not only bc of the actual trip. The people working there were incredible. Eve and Skye and one other girl at the desk were so kind. Josh, the pilot was a skilled aviator, personable guide, and just a good person. Really personalized the info he gave us. All should be given raises. Thank you! Highly recommended.

5.00The staff member we dealt with went out of her way to get us on a flight, which was greatly appreciated as it is unlikely we will return to the area in future. The pilot was good - very informative. The weather was brilliant on the day which made our experience all the more enjoyable.
Requesting a refund from Tripadvior, operator has cancelled and not taken funds

5.00Booked in error, so emailed the operator directly explaining the situation and requesting a refund. The operator cancelled the booking and the payment. ***HOWEVER: I am finding it difficult to get through to Tripadvisor to release the funds. Can someone help?

2.00This was our second helicopter tour with The Helicopter Line, the first one being from Queenstown. Queenstown experience was great. Glentanner, not so much. First the positive. The views from this flight were nothing short of spectacular. The negatives. Our group was two couples and we were literally crammed into the back row of the helo. We all had to turn our shoulders and lean right for the door to be latched. A single person, not part of our group, got the front seat. We asked about rotating seats after the glacier landing and were told no. The microphones on our headsets were disabled so there was no way to converse with the pilot or each other. The worst part, however, was listening to the radio conversation between the pilot and the ground staff over the pilot’s next flight and their disagreement on his crew duty day…all while we are flying very close to mountains. It wasn’t just a quick radio call. They went back and forth with the ground staff badgering the pilot until he relented. This discussion should have happened on the ground and certainly should have never happened while we were airborne. In comparison. Queenstown had just our group in an identical model helo. We were allowed to rotate seats after both landings. Our headsets were fully functional and we were able to talk to the pilot and ask questions throughout the flight. Glentanner seemed more concerned with enforcing their “safety” rules but totally missed the mark with the ground staff’s lack of safety awareness that was distracting our pilot from the most important part….passenger safety while airborne.
