We will drive around Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Saiko stopping to see Mt.Fuji at choice viewing points. Starting at Asama Shrine,the giant cedar trees there are over 1200 years old. This classic forest shrine is the oldest in the area and a Mt.Fuji World Cultural Heritage Site. An amazingly beautiful waterfall-Haha no shirataki, Mothers White Falls is near with unparalleled views of Mt. Fuji and Kawaguchiko. Next we visit Oishi Flower Park on the way to Lake Saiko,center of the Five Lakes around Mt.Fuji. Then we visit Aokigahara Jukai Forest-the Sea of Trees at Yacho no Mori Koen the Wild Birds Forest Park. Here we walk in a spectacular lava rock forest created by volcanic eruption in 864 AD. Covering 30 square kilometers of a most amazing area. Next visit The Dragon Cave-Ryugu Doketsu,a National Monument. Depending on time and weather,more stops and walks are possible such as the Climax Forest on Mt.Fuji at 1200 meters. Lastly,sunset time at Lake Shoji or Lakes Saiko & Kawaguchiko.

5.00Charlotte and I had an amazing day with Chris, this was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. A mixture of short drives and walks allowed Chris to immerse us in the nature around Fuji and Lake Kamaguchiko. Chris’s approach is very relaxed, informative and “off the beaten track” showing you places and experiences you wouldn’t have thought to visit yourself. A beautiful “zen” day of shrines, trees, waterfalls, lakes and stories. Possibly the best “coffee view” we’ve ever experienced (see picture) and make sure you hit the local Bstone Bakery. 💯 recommend this tour, don’t hesitate.

5.00What a wonderful tour of a beautiful area! Chris is very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and was a pleasure to spend the day with. Convenient van travel got us to lots of places and Chris new spots off the beaten path that were extremely beautiful and peaceful. My wife and I had a lovely time and Chris even helped us find the best taxi at the station for our next location. Highly recommend this tour!

5.00We had a fantastic day with Chris. He took us to places that we would never have found by ourselves. He is very knowledgeable and interesting to talk with. The day had a perfect pace, allowing us to feel we were experiencing the area properly through a combination of driving and short walks. We saw a fascinating shrine, fantastic trees, a beautiful waterfall and a cool ( in every sense) cave. And we also got close up views of Fuji San from different directions. This was a great use of our time and another special part of our trip. Thank you Chris!

5.00Visiting Mt. Fuji was on the top of our "must see" list when we were in Japan. But visiting the Five Lake region, Asama Shrine, Aokigahara Jukai Forest, and Haha-no-Shiritaki Waterfall turned our sight-seeing day into a day where our souls were fed and rejuvenated. Chris is a great guide, he thought of everything, including the tastiest food. Seriously, who knew a simple roasted yam could make us to happy! This is the person you want to have with you when visiting Mt. Fuji.

5.00My family and I had an excellent day touring the hidden wonders of Kawaguchiko with Chris. We visited beautiful shrines and forests, one highlight being the dragon cave. An added bonus was a quick stop at delicious bakery. Despite the damp weather and lack of Fuji views, it was a memorable experience and one I would recommend to anybody looking to explore the area away from the crowds.

5.00We booked this tour at the last minute. The Tour was with Chris. He was knowledgeable, flexible and organized. We loved the less crowded hidden gems of this Tour. It felt like a true 'insider' experience that we never would have found on our own. Chris didn’t just guide us around the Mt Fuji area - he opened a door to a side of it that led us beyond the usual viewpoints, into quiet. Highly recommended .

5.00Chris was great. Showed us some fantastic spots to photo Mt Fuji around the 5 lakes. Explained a lot of history, culture, nature etc without overdoing it. Found a great hamburger place for lunch. Highly recommend Chris.
