This is an experience tour where you can get a glimpse of one aspect of Japanese wabi-sabi culture. I heard that I could experience the tea ceremony in Mishima, so I went to hang out with friends. It is located in the Ume Palace in Rakujuen, just off the south exit of Mishima Station. The Ume Palace is a historic residence designated as a tangible cultural property and was passed through to the tea room, which was a very quaint place. Before the tea ceremony experience, there were explanations about the origin of Rakujuen, how Ume Palace was built, and the history of the tea ceremony. Although it is the tea ceremony experience of the purpose, the school had us, who are completely new to Omotesenke, explain the gestures and conventions carefully and gently, and we were able to enjoy the experience. In addition to drinking the matcha that was made, we also had the experience of making matcha. I drank matcha twice, and the matcha I made myself was exceptional. The Japanese sweets I ate before drinking matcha were also very good. At the end of the experience, I received a photo of the experience, which was a good memory. It was about an hour and a half long, but time passed so quickly that I think it is a good experience tour for cosplay.

I had the privilege of visiting a historic tea room that is usually not open to the public, and it was truly a remarkable experience. The host’s explanation of the room’s history, architecture, and traditional craftsmanship offered a glimpse into the mindset of the original patron of the Ume Goten. The view of the fresh greenery framed by the glass window looked like a living painting, accompanied by the gentle sound of birdsong. It was hard to believe such tranquility existed just steps away from the train station. Enjoying tea and traditional sweets in this serene atmosphere felt exceptionally special. The hanging scroll and flower arrangement reflected the host’s refined sense of hospitality. Watching the tea ceremony up close, I was impressed by the elegance and precision of each movement—beautiful, efficient, and deeply rooted in tradition. Receiving hands‑on instruction allowed me to appreciate the depth behind every gesture, and I understood why this cultural practice has endured for centuries. We were even given a commemorative photo at the end, making it possible to preserve this precious memory. A truly wonderful experience—highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic and serene moment of Japanese culture.

Although I used to go to tea ceremony classes and take tea ceremony lessons, I was delighted to be able to enjoy delicious tea now, decades later. I was able to relax in a tea room surrounded by greenery, away from my busy daily life. Now the greenery in May was sparkling. I can't help but wonder how wonderful it would be to see them at the time of autumn colors. I'd love to hear it again. In addition to having tea, the master also taught us about the history of this place, which was a great learning experience. He said he was only speaking in English. I hope that people from other countries will be able to experience Japanese culture.

The view inside the park is so great as you see the green leaf dancing in the air. You can also see and feel the atmosphere of the Japanese old fashion rest house. The air you breathe here is so relaxing.

Feeling a truly spectacular Japanese atmosphere, I was able to get a deep understanding of a culture that explains the history of the building from the entrance and the history of the Tao. Both of you were kind and caring for each other and the heart was very good to experience. Lakujuen is a place that is also close to Korea, so I think it would be really good if you followed the footsteps of Koreans once! Neither the car nor the place itself can normally be easily accessed. It feels special, and you can also wear clothes called Hawari!!! The wind of the building itself, the smell of wood, the aroma of the grass and the tea, it seems very good for peace of mind. If you like to travel to the Southern Japan city, you have a really lovable atmosphere, so you should definitely visit it once!!!
