Our accent to Mount Pilatus will take us aboard the iconic “dragon ride” aerial cable cart, where we will float back to earth suspended in a giant glass cabin. The windowed walls provide 360 views of the Lucerne region, and many compare the experience to flying. Enjoy an ever-changing perspective of the Alpine landscape, as historic Lucerne pulls back into focus as we approach the end of the line. The ride is a highlight of any trip to Mount Pilatus.

Very disappointed, tour description not correct

2.00The tour guide, Erica, was very knowledgable, freindly and professional. However, the tour itself was a disappointment. First, the cog wheel train was not open as described in the itinerary. Second, the tour was advertised as a small group of 15 and was actually more like 30 people in the group. Erica handled the group well but it was not what I expected. Thirdly, there was much more walking than described, especially up and down the hill to the lift for Mt Pilatus. It was difficult for myself and some of the others in the group. The difficult walking impacted my enjoyment of the tour. Lastly, the boat trip around the lake was more like a ferrry ride across the lake and back. Fortunately the weather was beautiful but your company can take no credit for that. Overall the tour was a disappointment which I would not have booked and spent money on in hindsight. Thank you Erica for your efforts.

5.00Erica was a lovely tour guide. Due to inclement weather the cog train was closed. She knew just how to handle the situation and our group was rerouted to a gondola to go up Mt. Pilatus. Much appreciated . Thank you.

Pilatus tour, a good tour with some logistical kinks to work out

5.00There were a few logistical kinks that could have been smoothed out, in part since this was the first day of the summer season. Pickup at 9:30 when the ferry doesn’t leave until 10:40, as well as a bit of a gap between arriving off the boat and taking the cogwheel train, although I’m not sure if that was avoidable. Some of the tickets being bought on the spot added some unneeded anxiety. Outside of these which I’m sure will be worked out as the season goes on, we had a lovely tour of the mountain with our guide Erika. The cogwheel views were gorgeous and while we couldn’t see much from the top due to the weather we were still able to enjoy our time and learn some interesting tidbits about Switzerland and Lucerne

5.00Lincoln, our tour guide was excellent. He provided history, current Swiss culture information all with a wonderful sense of humor. He was great at providing directions and got us to all activities on time. The tour itself provided beautiful views and a once in a lifetime experience. Highly recommend!!!
Kind of expensive for what it was.

3.00A lot of money for what it was. Which was basically just taking public transportation to a couple of places with a guide. But our guide, whose name was Lincoln, was really great!
Lots of public transit, wasn’t expecting that. My. Pilatus was wonderful.
