5.00Janna out guide showed us life beyond the usual tourist attractions. From early morning newspaper distribution to Dadar flower market, dhobiwallahs washermen to Sassoon dock where the day's catch sorted, bought and sold, we learnt huge amount about Mumbai and her hardy tradespeople and bustling markets. Super pleased we took this tour. Janna was a top notch informative guide. We recommend!

The Best Start to Your First Day in Mumbai

5.00I am not a morning person, certainly not after a 19 hour long haul trip from South Africa so the last thing I wanted to do after a short two hours sleep was go on a dawn tour on my first morning in Mumbai. I was travelling with my 19 year old daughter Iris who is nothing if not stubborn. And so it was that at 5am, jet lagged and exhausted, I found myself on the most magical, thrilling and inspirational tour I have known. Janna, our charming, kind and humorous guide, led us on a sensitive, insightful, and informed adventure into the fish, flower, vegetable and newspaper markets, on a city train to the open air laundry and to a cup of the most delicious chai tea at the side of the road. I cannot recommend this tour, nor Janna, highly enough. It was the perfect gateway to Mumbai and set the tone of shared delight that our mother and daughter trip to India became. Thank you CityPulse tours, Janna, and the people who work the markets of Mumbai for an inspirational and optimistic experience. And thank you, Iris, for insisting we go. Unforgettable.

5.00What an amazing experience ! This tour taught me so much and really gave me a sense of the city. It showed me how busy everyone is and that Mumbai really is the city that never sleeps. I could not recommend doing this more.

5.00Janna was absolutely amazing! He was very knowledgeable and kind, and made us feel very welcome and safe. The tour was great and nice to see a different side of Mumbai that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise.
