Rhino Fund Uganda

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can track rhinos in the wild. Located in Nakasongola District, about 176 km from Kampala, it offers guided rhino tracking experiences where visitors can observe Southern White Rhinos roaming freely across 7,000 hectares of land. The sanctuary is part of a conservation effort to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda, and its population has grown steadily since its establishment in 2005. Murchison Falls

The "Top of the Falls" at Murchison Falls National Park is a breathtaking spot where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge, creating a thunderous roar and a spectacular spray. You can reach this iconic location either by hiking from the base of the falls or driving to the viewpoint. The hike takes about 45 minutes and offers stunning views, wildlife sightings, and a refreshing mist from the falls. After arrival in the park we drive through Budongo forest welcomed by forest baboons headed to the falls for the breach taking activity and later continue to the savannah part of the park. The drive from Ziwa to the Falls in Murchison National Park takes about 3 hrs.

An evening game drive in Murchison Falls National Park is a fantastic way to explore the park's savannah plains and spot wildlife as the sun sets. The northern banks of the park are particularly popular for game drives due to the high concentration of wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. You'll follow game tracks like the Albert, Buligi, or Victoria tracks, which offer diverse ecosystems and excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. The cooler evening temperatures make it a comfortable and serene experience, and the golden light of the setting sun adds a magical touch to the scenery. This is a short game drive as we are headed to your lodge for check in dinner and over night

Murchison Falls National Park

After an early morning breakfast at 5:30 am, we head out for a game drive. An early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park is an exhilarating experience! Starting at around 6:30 AM, these drives take advantage of the cool, serene hours when wildlife is most active. You can spot predators like lions and leopards returning from their hunts, as well as herds of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and an array of antelopes grazing in the golden morning light. As the clock gets closer to 11am we drive to the boat site.

On arrival at the boat site after the game drive we head out for the boat trip. A boat trip at Murchison Falls National Park is an unforgettable experience! The park offers two main types of boat cruises: The boat trip takes you upstream to the base of the mighty Murchison Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge. Along the way, you'll see hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and a variety of bird species. The trip lasts about 2 hours and offers stunning views of the falls and wildlife. and this cruise heads downstream to the Nile-Lake Albert Delta, a haven for birdwatchers. It's one of the best places to spot the rare shoebill stork, along with other waterbirds and wildlife. After the boat trip we transfer to Kampala making it the end of your trip. The drive o Kampala or Entebbe will take -6 hours depending on traffic.
