Murchison Falls

This safari starts with our driver/guide picking you up from your residence/hotel in Kampala or Entebbe early in the morning. You will then go on a panoramic drive (approx. 8-9hrs) northwest through Luwero and Masindi town. Branch off for a visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided Rhino walk and picnic lunch. Continue to the spectacular site at the top of the falls where you can see the Nile’s beauty perfected. Marvel at the Nile, compressing from up to 1 km squeeze through a 7-meter canyon dropping 45 meters with a thunderous roar creating a beautiful rainbow, a plume of spray, and the best thing that happened to the Nile, “the Murchison Falls”. Enjoy the sunset as you return to the lodge.

Begin your day with a cup of African coffee ready for a wildlife game drive, bird watching, and sightseeing across the open Savannah dotted with woodland and riverine vegetation along the Nile and Albert delta. Here expect to meet elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, waterbuck, and countless populations of birds, return to the lodge for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, a three-hour boat trip along the Nile gives you an assured chance to see the Murchison falls from the bottom angle. Wildlife such as hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and aquatic birds can be seen along the shores of the river.
