We were lucky enough to be able to take part in the seasonally last "raisin tour" of 2025. The trip itself would have been really worthwhile from the pure program point of view. But what ultimately made him an absolute highlight was our guide, driver and general purpose helper Cipriano. He picked us up at our holiday destination, drove us to the three villages belonging to the tour and imparted a lot of interesting knowledge about raisin making, the places visited as well as about the country and people on the way. Since we still had two English-speaking fellow travellers "on board", Cipriano explained all the information in a very great way in both (almost perfect) German and English. After a lunch together we were then driven back to our accommodation. We expect to book one or two tours with Cipriano or Oletrips as part of future holidays on the Costa del Sol! Absolutely recommend!!!

Best ever Completely different to the white village. The drive to the raisin farm was brilliant. Real sense of adventure. Coffee in the town square was one of the best. Unbelievable price. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative. Will never see a raisin again without thinking of the tour. Lunch first class and cold almond soup a revelation Over all a great day

I feel very privileged to have seen first hand the production of the raisins on this route. A dying art as it’s not financially viable now. Following our visit to the farm we travelled to Almachar, El Borge and Mondinejo. Here we saw how the raisin production has influenced these towns. The architecture, the traditions, fiestas etc. We were able to sample and buy some of the wines made with the raisins as well. Our trip ended with a superb and very welcome lunch. I went on this trip as a solo passenger, but was made to feel very welcome and included. I have already booked my next trip with Oletrips, and thoroughly recommend them as a professional trip organiser.

On 29th September, I took the Raisin Tour with Ole Trips. We visited an Andalusian cortijo owned by the lovely Mano and Mari. We saw a traditional raisin production system - which was very interesting to see and learn about all the hard work which goes into the production of the raisins. Next we stopped in Almáchar, and visited the Museo de la Pasa (Museum of the Raisin). We then headed to El Borge, another beautiful town and had lunch in the Posada del Bandolero. Our final stop was Moclinejo. It really was a fantastic day out, it was very interesting to learn about the raisin route as well as visiting lots of beautiful places. I also met some lovely people on the trip. Thank you Ole Trips and Cipriano for a wonderful experience. Fantastic day out!

Friday 30.10 my wife and I took part in a guided tour to the famous mouscatel and raisin areas in Axarquia. The first stop on the trip that Cipriano a very nice and knowledgeable guide took us to was to Manuel and Mari, a farming couple who have their area on the outskirts of Almachar. All farmers who harvest raisins have no mechanical aids, so does Manuel. These farmers are called heroes because of the hard work they do on the steepest slopes. Manuel's eyes lit up when he told about his work and he showed how to use scissors to cut off each individual dried grape from the bunch of grapes. Next time I buy mouscatel raisins I think each raisin is cut individually and perhaps by Manuel. The next stop was the town of Almachar where the raisins from farmers were sorted and packaged for onward deliveries to various buyers. Here is the only machine, the sorting machine, in the entire raisin production. Lunch was taken in the town of el Borge, the town's hotel which housed a restaurant frequented by the bandit El Bizco de El Borge in the 19th century. I leave other activities to others to deal with. I can wholeheartedly recommend this trip. Sr. Cipriano is super guide!!

We can absolutely recommend this tour! The day is very well organized, the guide of Oletrips very friendly and the information really interesting. A visit to a farmer in the countryside who makes the raisins with a lot of effort and love for tradition was something special. As always, Oletrips provided a great experience! A varied day with good food that will be remembered for a long time.
