Join a 4-7 hour safari through the beautiful landscape in Dovrefjell Nasjonalpark! With our highly educated and experienced guides, you have a 99% chance to see these magnificent animals. The hike is norwegian moderate, and the duration depends on where the muskox are that day. Our enthusiastic guides will give you insight into the area's flora and fauna. There is a chance to see birds of prey, reindeer and beautiful lichens during the hike. The safety distance is 200m. You will use your own car from Oppdal to Dovrefjell, or you can have a ride with the guide IF you ask in advance and we have enough seats. Bring clothes for the weather, waterproof shoes with ancle support and food for the day.

5.00As a solo-traveller it was easy to get in touch with otheres in the group and the guides. Our guides Ida and Hannes (or Johannes?) were great and knew so much about musk oxen, plants and stuff about the region over all. One of the best guidence i've expirienced so far. You really get much closer to the animals and never feel unsave. For me the hike was quite easy but i saw others truggle a little to keep up because their condition not because it was to fast ;). Super nice bringing Cinamon Buns and Coffee with you for the break. A tour for anyone interessted in nature and hiking and dont mind rain or a muddy trail. Might be comming back in Wintertime for some crisper pictures and going up there with skis.

5.00We had a wonderful time on the musk ox hike! The landscape was stunning, and we really appreciated the respectful and knowledgeable guidance throughout the tour. We were lucky to spot a musk ox and had the chance to observe it calmly from a distance – truly a special and moving moment. We also learned more about the natural environment, which added real depth to the experience. 5.00Great trip, with a guide who could tell everything that was worth knowing about the fauna on Dovre. We had only walked 10 minutes before the first 2 mosquitoes showed up. These we could follow at good distance for about 3-4 hours. Several showed up along the way. Totally magical!
