Join a 3-7 hour safari through the beautiful landscape in Dovrefjell Nasjonalpark! With our highly educated and experienced guides, you have a 99% chance to see these magnificent animals. The hike is norwegian moderate, and the duration depends on where the muskox are that day. Our enthusiastic guides will give you insight into the area's flora and fauna. There is a chance to see birds of prey, reindeer and beautiful lichens during the hike. The safety distance is 200m. Please do not bring dogs. You will use your own car from Oppdal to Dovrefjell, or you can have a ride with the guide IF you ask in advance and we have enough seats. Bring clothes for the weather, waterproof shoes with ancle support and food for the day.

My girlfriend and I went to this safari looking for some hiking, fun, and enjoying nature. We ended up having one of our most beautiful experiences in a mountain ever, very well handled by Emily and Kaspar. As there was too many people, they splitted us in two groups, so we were lead by Kaspar, a funny and dedicated man that introduced us to the beauty of Norweigian mountains, Biology of the animals that live there and Viking's culture, all mixed up in a light and unforgettable memory. In summary, I absolutely recommend this experience for a couple's/friend's/family's plan.

Was a wonderful experience with a excellent guide, Stina . We saw 3 musk oxes and great nature in the Dovrefjell national park.

We started with a larger group, which was then split in two (I think it was about 15 people in each group). During the walk, our guide stopped every now and then to let us change clothes if necessary (the weather can change quite quickly in the mountains) or to tell us something about the plants and animals in the area. Once he spotted the muskoxen he guided us off the path, and we had lunch in view of them. Coffee and tea was provided here, as well as a telescope through which we could see the oxen. After lunch the two groups were reunited and we hiked up the mountain to get closer to the animals. Some people were faster climbers than others but this wasn't a problem. We had plenty of time to see the muskoxen (there were 6, one of which was a young) and to take photographs. We also got cinnamon buns here, which were very good. When we hiked back down the mountain, one guide went up front and the other waited for the people who weren't as fast. We were among the last three families, and even as we went back down the guide provided interesting insight into the local flora and fauna. He was very open to questions about the wildlife and nature in the area, but also on other topics. Some people in my family had done this safari before, and they had gotten closer then than we got now (about 200 meters then, this time it was about 800 meters), but that's a matter of luck. Overall it was a very nice experience and I would love to do this again some time!

Views were amazing! The team of professionals that managed the trip and took care of the guest were extremely knowledgeable; kind; had great senses of humor; and had great enthusiasm for what they do. It was refreshing to be in their presence! Thank you to the guide who allowed me to wear his jacket and shared his love of flora as well as for the Ox. We appreciated learning how plant, animal, and land, correlated with each other. This was such an enriching experience! My adult son and I will cherish this moment for life!

Nice walk. There was stil Some snow. (12th of june) Good information. Deen one ox in the wild. One in A serounded field, but no problem.
