Mussel tour is a unique local experience where you will meet our Queen, the famous blue mussel of Butrint lake. The journey will start on a traditional boat, first, stop at mussel farms. The process of mussel cultivation will be explained and we will take some fresh mussels directly from the farm, next stop will be at the restaurant but before being there a little involvement in the separation process will. Each of us will wear gloves and start to separate the Queens. Work, sailing, and meditation for 15 min will be optional for each guest. After that, sail to another part of the National Park of Butrint, a local and idyllic restaurant, there will cook together two kinds of mussel dishes dressed in olive oil, lemon, and parsley accompanied with local white wine, fresh vegetables, homemade bread, and water for each will complete the table. After enjoying the taste of our land and sharing wonderful stories relaxing sailing back will be through watching the sunset.

5.00In early summer, this tour leaves from right in front of Butrint park and is very easy to find. Ilio explained the life cycle of farmed mussels and we met mussel farmers and fishermen. It was beautiful and relaxing! After debearding the mussels, we visited Livia restaurant and feasted on them. An absolutely wo of experience!

5.00We had an amazing time on this tour, highly recommend it to anybody. Elidon was fantastic explaining all the history and details of mussel farming, we all enjoyed collecting and cleaning the mussels on the boat The kids had an amazing time. At the restaurant we were able to try them in three different ways, delicious!

5.00This was a great tour, beautiful boat trip on the lake, really interesting look at mussel farming - and a really nice lunch on the shores of the lake, al fresco. The guide was really knowledgeable and very friendly. I would highly recommend this trip it was great fun.

5.00We had an amazing experience on the mussels tour! Our guide was knowledgeable, and we got out to work de-bearding the mussels. The restaurant that we stopped at to make the mussels was family run, and each way to prepare the mussels was better than the other. As we were heading back, the sun was just starting to set making a gorgeous ride back. You could feel the genuine love and appreciation for the farming and cooking of the mussels from everyone involved. We were treated like family, you will as well when you take this tour.
