The expected departure from Plovdiv to Sofia is 3:30 pm. The expected return in Sofia is at 5:20 - 6:00 pm.
In rare cases, if fewer than 3 participants select the same guided language (English, Italian, or Spanish), the tour will be conducted with an audio guide or smart guide instead of a live guide. This will not affect the price or the overall tour itinerary as described in your reservation.
Guides are not obligated to provide guided commentary while inside the bus. Explanations and guided tours typically take place at designated stops and attractions rather than during transit.

Discover Plovdiv- one of the oldest existing settlements in world! See the Roman Theater and parts of the Roman Stadium. Walk through the longest pedestrian street in Europe. Explore the magnificent Revival old town with its unique colorful houses from the 19th century. Plovdiv is about 2 hours’ drive from Sofia and is situated in the western part of the Thracian Valley. It is one of the oldest settlements in the world, having emerged on the three adjacent hills – the beginning of its history dates back to 4,000 years BC. It has preserved Thracian, Roman and Bulgarian heritage from different epochs. In Plovdiv you will have about 2 hours guided walking tour in the heart of the town and you will learn lots of historical facts and legends while exploring its most interesting sightseeing places. After the guided tour you will have about 3 hours free time for lunch break and shopping. The approximate return in Sofia is between 5pm and 5:30 pm.

4.00Definitely recommend doing this as Plovdiv is a great city with more to do there than Sofia. However this tour can be improved by either leaving earlier to give people more time to look around with their own time or by making the tour shorter. There’s a lot to do in Plovdiv but you don’t get enough time to look around. You basically have to skip lunch in order to properly see 2-3 things

5.00Our tour guide, Maria, was excellent. She gave detailed explanations about everything and answered all the questions we had. We had enough free time to revisit any of the places we wanted and also had enough time to eat. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we really enjoyed the tour!

5.00We had a lovely trip with Iva. The tour was punctual and the bus to Plovdiv was comfortable. There was a bakery near the starting location which made it easy to grab something to eat before the trip started. There was a bathroom break around 10 minutes before we reached Plovdiv. We had a nice guided tour in Plovdiv, where Iva explained the history behind each of the attractions. After the guided tour, we had some time to explore the city on our own and grab lunch. Iva also gave us restaurant recommendations. The return trip also started on time. All in all, it was a great tour and Iva was a lovely guide. Plovdiv is an amazing city with a lot of interesting historical attractions, which can easily be explored for a day or two. Can totally recommend this tour for people who only have limited time to explore the city.

4.00Went in a light rain. The old town looks ok. The old houses are similar in style. It is a place worth visiting. The guide Pavel did a good job, bringing us to many sites and explained some histories.

4.00The tour operator sent me a notes that we should arrive at 8:35am although the bus did not leave until the official start-time at 9am. The tour included two hours of guided tour through the historical sites and two hours of free time. We ran into many sites what are closed on Monday. The tour should have been clear on that. Also, the tour did not leave us time to visit the Roman Theater. Theoretically we could spend our free time there, but we would not have the energy to walk uphill again when the guided tour portion was over. I would have left the last one or two stops of the guided tour to stay at the Roman Theater. Otherwise the tour did touch upon many sites.
