  My family and I had an amazing time at the Great Wall! The timing was on point, the food was nice and out guide (Li) was the best! Highly recommend this tour! Li and the agency even helped us make reservations for other spots in Beijing and gave us very good recommendations!

  Our trip with Emma was perfect. Emma is very professional and always attentive. This little getaway to the great wall and jumps under the sun and very successful. Thanks to Emma and the TravelGreatWall team

  This is the second time I've booked with Great Wall. Emma was a great tour guide showing us the Mutianyu Wall. She was patient with us as we climbed the steeper parts and went with us all the way from Watchtower 1 to 14. The entire experience was really pleasant. We went to the wall just after Christmas and there were very few people on the wall so we could really take it in. While it was a tad chilly on the wall, walking keeps you warm. The toboggan is fun in Summer but you can get quite cold during winter (obviously) as you are sitting and it is in the shade. Overall it was a great experience and if I come to Beijing again with a new group of people I will book this again.

  this was a great way to see the wall without all the tourists and we had a great time and the meal that was included was very filling. the driver was excellent and looked after us very well.

  We recently spent a few days in Beijing, and knew we wanted to visit Mutianyu for the Great Wall since it was supposedly less touristy than Badaling and also had the slide down from the top. We waited until we arrived in Beijing to book transportation to the Wall, since we wanted to make sure the weather was great, so we called the Travel Great Wall team the day before we hoped to make a reservation. We hoped to book transportation only - our hope was to explore the wall on our own vs. being stuck in a tour group, but this company provides both depending on what you're looking for. The call was quick and easy - we were asked for our hotel location and the number of people in our party, then sent a confirmation email that we would be picked up at 8am the next day by our driver. I was a little nervous that they didn't take a deposit or credit card, but we were assured to simply pay in cash when we met the driver the next day. Our driver was right on time - waiting with a sign with our name on it - and so sweet! He spoke a small bit of English, enough to say hello and let us know his name, and let us know the appx length of time it would take to get there (1.5-2 hours). The car was comfy, air conditioned (HUGE when its 90+ degrees outside!) and had plenty of leg room. When we arrived, the driver walked us to the area to purchase tickets for the wall and let us know when we would need to meet back up - we had about 3 total hours to explore, which was definitely enough. We met back up at the scheduled time for pick up, no problems. Would totally recommend this company - they have a lot of options depending on what you're looking for and the service is awesome.

  Simatai Great Wall is about two and a half hours’ drive from Beijing. Compared to Badaling, there are fewer people and you can enjoy sightseeing slowly. You can climb the mountain on foot, but it's quite steep, so I recommend taking a cable car along the way. The scenery you can look at while feeling the eternal time is breathtaking. At the foot of the mountain is Gubeishui Town, a tourist destination that recreates an old townscape.

  Well organised. Emma is excellent guide. Felt I was in safe hands. Went up on the cable car and returned via the chair lift. Couldnt come down on the toboogan as it was light rain and it was closed as too slippery when wet. Quite a long drive there and back. Banquet lunch was included which was more than we could eat. As the tour started at 10.00, we had lunch first, but we werent hungry yet.

  Visiting the Great Wall has always been on my bucket list, so choosing the right tour was important to me. I was looking for a small, private tour group with a pocket-friendly price and English speaking tour guide, and this was the perfect one! Emma was friendly and very informative. A bonus was that the inclusive lunch was actually one of the best lunches I had in China. The route I took was the lift to Tower 14 and walking to Tower 6 and taking the toboggan slide down (very fun and A MUST!). I would definitely recommend this tour to all my friends and family who are looking to see the Great Wall.

  I contacted the people at Travel Great Wall about five weeks before our departure date and told them we wanted a driver and a car for two people to the Great Wall on the 18ht of February. I was given good advice. A friendly driver came to pick us up at the hotel on the 18th and drove in style to the Wall and gave us ample time to do all the activities we wanted to do.
