The guides are fluent English speakers and knowledgeable locals. It is the perfect tour for tourists interested in Karakalpakstan and the Aral Sea area. It was very satisfying because it included major tourist attractions and was the only plan I looked into that would take me to all the places I wanted to go. I joined the tour at the end of the year, when the museum, right next to the ship's graveyard, was closed, but instead they took me to a nearby institution. They are also highly rated for their flexibility in responding to the situation, such as being able to take visitors to the local canteen at Moynak. He was very caring and allowed me to ask questions and discuss many topics. For those wondering about prices: To see the price range of the whole of Uzbekistan, this tour is expensive. My schedule was so tight that I couldn't find time to search for public transportation and negotiate and arrange taxis, so I used this tour this time, although I thought it was a bit expensive. Even though it is from Nukus, it takes 3 hours by car to reach Moinak. The road conditions are also pretty bad. Considering that the journey is completely private and a private drive, it would be worth the money if you visit with multiple people. This time I was alone, which made it even more expensive. However, Karakalpakstanis who can speak English are quite rare. It was a reasonable payment, considering that the young and fluent English guide was the only one who could teach us a lot about culture and politics, and the local people gave us a very honest account of the situation in the country. The graveyard of the ship was really far away and I was lost until the last minute, but I was glad I went as a result. After all, the atmosphere is different when you actually go there. If I had really visited alone, I would have loved to have gone further, but this time I gave up due to the cold and time constraints. If you are staying overnight around Nukus, you probably have a tour plan at the inn as well. If you’re worried, you can ask for a similar plan and get a phase estimate. They told me there was a similar plan at the inn where I stayed, but it was a much higher price, so I decided to go here. Other advice: ・I had reservations the day before because I was not sure if I would join until the last minute, but they had no problem. · There is no train station at the pickup location, so you can't choose, but tell them when and where to arrive and they will pick you up. This time they came to Nukusu station. Finally, they will take you to where you want to go. · The guide in charge of this time seemed to speak Karakalpakstan, English, Russian, Uzbekistani and Korean. People who can speak the language in question will find it even more useful. He explained it to me in English and the content was perfectly understandable. ・The price of the tour does not include tickets or meals. Please be sure to have a small amount of cash available and bring it with you. ・There are many sudden closures during the year-end and New Year holidays. Those who want to go to museums can only leave it to chance. ・Road conditions are the worst. There are many areas that are not paved, so be careful of mud, especially when it is snowing or raining. As you can tell by going to Nukus, it's a dirt road with muddy cars everywhere. You should not wear clothing that is difficult to move around in, or that is difficult to get dirty in. It gets dirty when getting on and off the car. ・Of course, it will swing. Be careful even if you are heavily car-sick. It will be a long journey. ・I remember leaving Nukusu Station around 9:30 or 10:00 and returning to my accommodation around 19:30. It depends on how busy the roads are, but I think it'll generally cost about this much to enjoy everything. Be careful if you have a tight plan.

This is not a tour ! I will be asking for a substantial refund. This is a taxi ride by a non English speaker to the ship cemetery, and then a taxi ride back. No stops on the way/return at mausoleum, etc. and does not include entrance fee to museum (35k). If you want to go (not saying you shouldn't !) suggest you get yourself a taxi.

Muynak ship graveyard is pretty far from Khiva. Despite the long distance I went there from Khiva. I woke up at 5:45 AM and came back in Khiva at around 10 PM. Muynak is 400 kilometers far from Khiva. I warmly recommend tripadvisor users to go to Muynak but not from Khiva since it is too far. The best option is to spend one night in Nukush which is halfway. In Nukush there is also a beautiful mosque to visit. You can reach the ship graveyard in a couple of hours which is something doable. The visit of the graveyard doesn't take that long...less than one hour. A little more if you also want to visit the related museum. I strongly wanted to visit this place. This is why I didn't care getting up so early. It is a very fascinating and kind of spectral place. It's not common to visit a place like that. Only a few ship graveyards in the entire world. it is also possible to climb on top of one of these old and rusty wrecks. A unique experience.
