  We had a wonderful overnight trip! I wish we would have booked for 2 or 3 nights. Eid welcomes you aboard and relaxation commences. The peacefulness of sailing along the Nile in comfort can’t be beat. The food was very good. The Felucca is very comfortable. The bathroom is nice to have. Everything was sparkling clean. I went with my four kids and everyone had a fantastic time. My youngest who loves to fish was able to fish all evening long. At night you stop in a peaceful part of the river and enjoy dinner and songs . I would highly recommend this trip .

  A trip on Captain Eid’s felucca, “My Dream Nile” is one that you should really not miss. Him and his crew are kind, flexible and very honest about the experience that you can expect. The felucca that we travelled on for three days and nights was of a much higher standard than other feluccas that I looked at before deciding to book with “My Dream Nile”. He has solar panels which are used to provide lighting in the evening and also during the day you can charge your phones and battery packs. There is a toilet and shower on board. The food, cooked by Ahmed on our trip, was really delicious, authentic Egyptian food. Captain Eid will discuss with you beforehand the sort of food that you want and tailor it to your needs. There is free tea and coffee available all day long. In addition he can provide, at an additional low cost, soft drinks and beer or wine. Captain Eid will also discuss any extra stops that he can make at an additional charge but there is no pressure for you to do these or not. One such highly recommended stop is at Daraw for the camel market (if you are sailing past on a Saturday or Sunday only, or the general livestock market if passing on a Tuesday). Another delightful free stops (you do obviously pay if you want to visit the temple) are at Kom Ombo, where the temple carvings are astonishing. The felucca was spotlessly clean and plenty of warm blankets were provided. Also I particularly liked that he provided mosquito nets to ensure a bite free night. Captain Eid speaks good English and can be contacted for more information by WhatsApp on +20 122 499 1379. You should be aware that all feluccas, being traditional Nile sail boats, do not have engines so rely exclusive on the north to south flow of the river and the wind, which if blowing, blows south to north and enables the felucca to tack from side to side of the river. But if the wind is not blowing you are not really going to travel at any great speed. As a result it is simply impossible to guarantee arrival places and arrival times. Therefore may have to finish your trip, at the end of the booked number of days and nights, further upstream than was intended. You can then progress further by taxi which Captain Eid can arrange. If I was to do this felucca ride again I would request 2 nights and two full days. That way, with a favourable wind, you can arrive in Kom Ombo mid afternoon, visit the temple and then make your way by train to Edfu which is only 50 mins away (or by taxi which is about 1 hour 30 mins) either that evening or the next afternoon. For me, one or two nights sleeping on the felucca is enough. As you can see I highly recommend “My Dream Nile” feluccas for a hassle free, beautiful, and relaxed trip on the Nile which was one of the highlights of my trip to Egypt.   Ahmed and Ahmed were the Captain and Assistant for my trip. They were very attentive to details, prepared great food and were chill to hang out with. The felucca is well maintained with power socket, running water with a toilet and shower. Flexible with timing and duration of the voyage. A lovely relaxing experience well worth the time to do!

  My dream of going down the Nile in felucca has come true Eid’s felucca My dream is well named Beautiful with its colorful cushions, comfortable and impeccable cleanliness Eid and Ahmed the cook made us live a stay beyond anything we could have imagined It was a trip offered by my daughters for my birthday Eid organized in my honor a special evening with garlands and balloons to decorate the felucca and a beautiful birthday cake with of course music and songs.. Book quickly with him to live this happiness break ..,

  We travelled 3 days and 2 nights on the Nile. It was an unforgettable and beautiful experience. Mohammed and the two Ahmeds were all great with us. Caring, gentle, quiet, kind, funny. It was a peaceful time out with the 2 Ahmed and Mohammed filled with laughter, calm and beautiful discussions.   An incredible adventure aboard this wonderful sailing boat with a team of caregivers, from the cook Ali, to Captain Hussein, not to mention Captain Eid. On the program, 3 days in complete tranquility, sailing from Edfu to Aswan (although we were very lucky because it is usually not done, since it is against the current, and therefore very dependent on the wind). The food was excellent, the places to stop chosen carefully, always quiet. We had chosen felluca without bathroom but to do again we would finally get for this little luxury next time.   This was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever done. Abdullah was enormously kind and helpful, and couldn't do enough for us. Honestly if you're thinking about booking this then I cannot recommend enough. The boat is comfortable, clean and the food was amazing. So peaceful and tranquil - it felt like 2 nights of paradise! Thank you Abdullah. We will miss you!!
